  • First time a movie made me cry was when I saw this for the first time :-(

  • What is the last song? Please!

  • DAMN I'M STILL CRYING

    EVERYTIME I SEE THIS VIDEO

  • I like the way Johnny's boys keep the rhythm going as he's proposing.

  • reese was just not as honey-sweet as june, but this was a great scene :-)

  • If this is the only video this user has uploaded, I approve. I wouldn't ask for a better video!

  • 0 dislikes. No more coments

  • @PhillyC187 i think he died of a broken heart too. there was no way those two could've lived w/out each other the way they showed their love in public & in private. joaquin phoenix himself said in an interview he saw that devoted love while having dinner w/ johnny & june at their house one evening.

  • Was this based on the real proposal between Johnny Cash and June Carter?

  • @maddieemcee he proposed to her on stage, 13 years after they first met

  • I love Joaquin!

  • @southernflower88 so do i southernflower88, so do i!!!!

  • :') so sweet.

  • Johnny truly loved June. When she died, Johnny followed months later. Some of his close family believe he died in part from a broken heart.

  • I love how June looks at Marshall like "Did you know about this!?" at 1:20

  • Fantastic

  • no mames!!! seme parte el corazon

  • This was such an emotional scene...I honestly believe the way this scene was acted is a big part of why they were nominated for/won Oscars.

  • I love how the band keeps the music going.

  • his face when she says "allright" is the BEST part... <3

  • whats that song at the end

  • how romantic. and this happened in real life.

  • the music n the background makes this scene so much better

  • oeeeee i wish i was reese/june at that moment...

  • The look on his face right after she says okay always gets me.

  • I cried when i watched this

  • @olympianUSA10

YES SHE DID! REESE PERFORMED ALL OF THE VOCALS AS JUNE CARTER!

  • whatever about june reese must have jumped Joaquins bones after this. simply irresistible.

  • best. proposal. ever

    :)

    no question

  • I love this part of the movie. The way he asks her, the sound in his voice. Absolutely the best proposal ever.

  • omg. that has got to be the most romantic proposal on the face of this earth.

  • Best proposal EVER!!!!

  • i fkn love them

  • Reese is so good in this scene!!!!! I was blown away by her ability here I never really respected her much as an actress before this movie but after i saw this movie i now consider her one of my favorite actresses.

  • i honestly believe if she would have said no he would have died less then a year later from drinkin and drugs

  • great movie.

  • is there a video where the REAL proposal is?

  • the best!......i totally love this movie......the best part...thanks......

  • What's funny to me is the song that plays after she accepts sounds like the tune to "Jackson" but in a slower tempo. God I love this scene. Lots of movies have romance, but this romance was real; real problems, real heartache, and real emotion. It never gets old to me...

  • Every time I see this part,I get all teary eyed. So sweet.

  • this is so beautiful :)

  • Love this song and this movie!!!!

  • Is there a real video on youtube of the real johnny cash proposing to June on stage?

  • @StikWitClassics I haven't found one ):

  • @StikWitClassics probably not :(

  • @StikWitClassics I wish there was

  • @StikWitClassics its a movie

  • @StikWitClassics no, this was never video taped :\ i looked forever

  • @StikWitClassics In 1968, 13 years after they first met backstage at the Grand Ole Opry, Cash proposed to June Carter, an established country singer, during a live performance in London, Ontario,[71] marrying on March 1, 1968 in Franklin, Kentucky.

  • @StikWitClassics That is from wiki ;)

  • @StikWitClassics I was just wondering the same thing..........was this Hollywood? Or did this actually happen?

  • @theatlantean3 This did happen, only they weren't singing Jackson, they were singing If I was a Carpenter, I believe.

  • @cdasa005 awesome. i would love to see a video of that......i'll have to youtube it and see what i can find.

  • @ashbychique thank you so much!

  • I have found the name of the song a few of you are looking for at the end of this scene. I did a little research and found it. I hope you guys enjoy! The link is below. Poem to Eva - Bill Frissel

  • Yes, it was. Of course.

  • Is this actually how he proposed to her?

  • Does anyone know where I could find the song that plays at the very end???

  • does anyone know the song playing at the end?

  • @echofades -- I FOUND IT!! It's by Bill Frisell called Ghost Town/Poem for Eva

  • did he realy proposed on stage?

  • @tinceswonderland yea he proposed to june in the stage while johnny and june singing

  • i just wish itunes had the score for the movie because i love the guitar in the end when everything goes quiet an he picks her up *swoon*

  • @maddynguyen Hey iTunes DOES have it :) spent forever searching for it but it's by Bill Frisell and the song is called Ghost Town/Poem for Eva.

  • I put this video up because I thought it was one of the best scenes in the movie and a great climax to the film. I felt they really did a solid job on the acting between them both. Glad you guys enjoyed it!

  • i love this too joaquin is such a spunk rat! :D

  • i love this scene,
