Can someone explain why Taare Zameen Par did not provide clips for this show? For that matter, where is Aamir Khan? Just an anglo Bollywood fan here who is somewhat out of the loop on these things.

Aamir Khan has never attended an awards show, as far as I know. He has some personal issues with those kind of shows, I think. And since Taare Zameen Par was his movie (he produced it, I think) he did not give rights to show clips of it during the show.
