  • have always loved this song.

  • Been waiting for this clip to turn up for years - thanks!

  • Thank you so much for posting this! Saw it when it aired, and adored it. Then and now

  • I was there....it was great.

  • MTV unplugged 93??? i was 5 at the time lol

  • @paulcarruthers88 I was 0 at the time lol :D

    Friggin' brilliant version.

  • Jules, like most anybody who'd been in a band, was capable of sitting in with CH was well as he did. I was a little floored when I found out that he was in the Funky Kings. They were best known for "Slow Dancing," written by Jules' bandmade, Eagle contributor Jack Tempchin. Tempchin got a little more change(I hope) when it became a hit for Johnny Rivers and later recorded by Olivia Newton-John.

  • wow wow wow, just the best

  • I to have been looking for this video for many years. 1) Love the version & the band 2) Jules vocals & Neil's reaction to them. Neil, Tim, Nick & Paul are great singers, soaring the song to heights it deserves, Jules sounds like he's sitting on the bloated stomach of a dead cow and noises are escaping from it. At 0:56 you can see Neil thinks it's amusing, the 2nd time at 2:08 it's too much. Just listen to the note Jules carries through the last note of the song. Still a version to cherish.

  • @mP51D

Thank goodness that Jules is ALOT better composer than he is a singer, lol! ;)

  • Yes, as some of you may know, the whole "unplugged" concept was invented by Jules Shear. Shortly after MTV basically took his idea and applied it to other artists and the rest is history. This prompted Jules to release an acoustic bonus disk of his hits entitled 'Unplug this!:)

  • Thanks for posting, I couldn't find it either, I have it on an old video but great to be able to watch and listen to it on here. I love this version.

  • Thank you!!!! Just when I had given up all hope of finding this version........

  • So tell all your friends about it.

  • This is from MTV Unplugged, probably the single greatest music program MTV ever attempted, back in the day when they bothered to play music.

  • Fantastic version of this song!

  • This is my absolute favourite version of this song - it was the first time I'd ever heard it, and it's as beautiful and haunting as it ever was.

  • Me too couldn't remember Jules name, had it on vhs vid taped and lost. Thanks! (Check Neil's depeche mode hairstyle!)

  • I've also been looking for this like forever! I was so happy to find it here. Thanks ever so much!

  • OMG THANK YOU!!!!!!! I've been looking for this since I first saw it on Mtv!!!

  • Just great. These guys have made so much great music in so many different incarnations, to see them together is fantastic. Thanks!
