@adam2081 Ohio State's football team and marching band embarrassed Oregon that day. Oregon has a puny little band (smaller than some high school bands) that plays one of the least known fight songs in college football. Their fans like to slam USC's band, but that's because SC - like Ohio State - has a tradition of huge, superb marching bands that play famed fight songs. The Big Ten has the best bands in the land (OSU, Michigan, Wisky, MSU, PSU). USC's band is by far the biggest & best in West!

Just play keep on with your tradition! ALL the BIG TEN BANDS are great in many aspects. We all stand out versus the others.SO many people say the Big Ten bands are so much more powerful and the sound is so much more dominant that other bands, spcially on the field!! GO BIG TEN!!!

I was a member of TBDBITL for 3 years in the early 90's. It's true that Michigan "formed" the first script Ohio but did NOT perform it as we do actually writing it on the field as you would with a pen and paper. It is also not just follow the learder. We would practice this many times during a week of practice before a game. Spacing has to be correct, lines straight, and crossovers can get tricky. It's fun but difficult to perform and very exciting to be a part of. Go Bucks!

@bglad4life NO NO NO. . .Michigan was NOT the first to perform Script Ohio. That is a myth. Yes, they were first to arranged themselves in an Ohio formation in a script font, but who cares? Anybody can do that. They did NOT peform what is shown above, where the block is unraveled as Ohio is written on the field as if by God himself. . . .with the lines crossing over and the steps all measured and precise. It's NOT just follow the leader. That's why both Scripts end at the same time.
