@AmericanIdolQueen84 cbc(dot)ca/news/canada/nova-scotia/story/2010/03/30/ns-bartlett-blind-bridge.html I didn't know her, but I saw a tribute on her at a meeting. Her family and friends were there. Everyone was crying. I really almost cried tooo. :(
@AmericanIdolQueen84 Replace the places where I put (dot) with an actual dot". But here (im not stealing, just showing!) "Halifax Regional Police say it appears that a blind woman who was found unconscious under a bridge fell off a path after becoming disoriented. Holly Elizabeth Bartlett, 31, was discovered Saturday under the A. Murray MacKay Bridge. She died later in hospital. Police said Bartlett returned home by cab around midnight. They don't believe she was on the bridge.
@AmericanIdolQueen84 "We believe what had happened is that she died of a result of a fall on her way home," said Const. Brian Palmeter. "At this time, we do believe it was an accidental death."
Police said earlier that Bartlett was slightly hypothermic, but they don't believe she was in the water." Credit: CBC
R.I.P Holly, my heart and prayers gp out to her family and friends, they most certainly have lost a *Special Someone*, I have read her story in Readers Digest and was heartbroken as to her unfortunate death. ~Holly~ I hope you see the angels as you feel their wings :) please say hi to my mom to <3
I was very saddened to her of Holly's passing. I am glad to not only have met her but lived with her in Lane Hall @ STFX . I will remember all the fun times the girls of Lane had with Holly & of course Willow. My heart aches for Willow too. Holly was an incredible person and she will be missed.
I miss her as my closest buddy at work; she was 100% of the team as a co-worker, she was so professional.
She, my wife, and I went to the Department's Christmas Dance in '09 -- did we dance! Dropped her off in Halifax-North and she would just go home.
I miss her incredibly - a word she would have loved from a come from away like me who learned many more fancy English words from her - and I will not forget her till I meet her again.
God bless you Holly. You were a remarkable young lady that can still set an example of perserverance and strenght to the handicapped and unhandicapped as well.
Funny how you can see someone everyday for years and even though we weren't friends, I always did remember you. The pictures here are just how I remember her. Goodbye Holly. I know you will be missed.
I only knew Holly through a few friends, and only hung around her a few times, but in that short time I realized how special she was, always chipper, never complained, its just so unfair, thats all I can say, just flat out unfair......
I have the same eye condition except it only effected with my left eye but visually impaired in my right eye I think it is so cool to hear from others with the same eye condition thanks for posting

I knew Holly Bartlett very well from "The Work Bridge", Independent Living Resource Centre, and TEAM Work Cooperative.
She is definitely an inspiration to Nova Scotia's disabled community, and will continue to be so.
Rest in peace, Holly. Your accomplishments and ability to overcome many barriers will never be forgotten.
