I read the original Robin Hood. It got pretty boring after a while, because whenever Robin meets someone that he adds to his band of jolly men, they first beat each other with sticks until they're both bruised and bloody, then they make up and become best friends. It's pretty funny, really. Apparently, the character Robin is actually pretty weak with the sword or bludgeon, but impeccable with the bow and arrow...and, I think the book described him as small and mousey. LOL!

I agree! I read it too. It was boring and unbelievable. This book haven't depth, it was absolutely shallow with no story. Waste of time. But Robin Hood (BBC)which has nothing to do with it is much better.

Aha! You see my point! :D But yes, I do agree it has no depth whatsoever. However, you cannot deny that it is a classic within itself. And, you never know, the original Robin Hood most likely was held in the highest regard entertainment-wise. It was probably incredibly written, in the day. :) But, I do understand what you're trying to get across.
