They're not always broke. They have 'working capital'. The money the (for arguments sake) company uses to bankroll their 'business'. Not their personal money. They fund that with the small cons and I guess a small percentage of what they make off of the big cons. And in case y'all didn't notice. They buy a lot of expensive items, they do pay for some things and they also tip big(if you have been paying attention). There could be other reasons as well. It's not all that unbelievable.
