@PaletteTV - We're going back to Alaska in six weeks on the same boat. Alaska is a much better cruise, but about twice the price. Oddly enough, I was watching a special on CNBC tonight on cruising, and they're on board the Pearl the whole time.
Actually, that WAS the inside passage. Storms do occasionally occur in the summer resulting in the high waves. It only lasted part of the day, and was a great deal of fun.
That's excellent! We're going on a short trip to Mexico in April on the Norwegian Star. Funny, the picture I took of the ship sailing away in Skagway is of that very ship. You'd be surprised how many people look at that picture and ask "Was that YOUR ship?"
Wow, 20ft. waves... we've actually been fortunate enough to not have any rough seas on our cruises so far. Hopefully we won't run into any on the way to Panama...we leave on Nov. 14th with RCCL.
What did the captains log say on the tv in your room. Doesn't look like 25' swells maybe 10'

i know ive gotten sea sick on a 20ft boat off of FLorida for deep sea fishing but on something that size, I dont know if I could get sick.

Trust me, Niche79. You could get sick. Motion sickness comes without regard to size, waves, mode of travel, etc.

Would it be safe to assume the Inside Passage would be calmer?
