this song reminds me of a nice summer and a great day on the beach with my best buddy and a couple of girls we met,we were 15. just one of many good days during the great 80,s. R.I.P to my bud paul who turned on bad times and tragically took his own life a few years back, those memorys live on mate.
I feel bad for those who missed out on the most musically influential decade in history.I was a doorman at one of the mega clubs in downtown Toronto during the 80s we used to wear tuxedo shirts with suspenders for our attire and no one got in with street clothes. The girls wore the long dresses that were so tight they had to take small steps to walk, they used this song as the anthom every saturday night ,dry ice being blown out onto the dance floor as the disco ball was lowered down.
Everything today is a copy , movies, fashion, and music. i rather sit alone and listen to this then some other f***s***t on the radio, hopping bandwagons, lol.
My first sexual experience was with this playing in the background lights down low swet running down my face....then the dude kicked me out of the music store and ruined the moment
@marajax Today I was shopping in Hackettstown NJ consignment shop and this song was playing on the radio. Yes the radio. When was the last time you heard this song on the radio? So this evening I youtube it. And as I am enjoying the song, I scroll down to your music store comment made me LMFAO. So much so that I had to call my sister and read it to her. Thanks for the laugh!
GTA4 was how i heard this amazing original classic, forget the fatboy slim version or the house version that was released round about 8 years ago,the original beats it all and always will.
ive had the MOST amazin experience on GTA4. i was in a banshee. just oput the shop. sun was goin down the city was up in front and this came on. i opened the fuckin car up. the light reflecting off the car was INSANE!!!!!
Dude! I'm 35 next month. I was born within the Bicentennial Years! 1776-1976! I was born 8 Days within I was 7 years old and I enjoyed the 80's I was a Breakdancing kid. This guy your'e talking to doesn't even comprehend the 70's or 80's like we do. I'm from Los Angeles County.....
@Elite3xtreme Your needed to be born in about 1960 to 1970 to be around the age to have enjoyed the music of the 80's which would make you around 50 now, the same as me. So what do you want, to be 50 or many years younger, like you are?
this is when Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis were KILLIN it! Super hot production. They sold out and got lame, played it safe as soon as Janet etc..got to them
@Jako32 no, no, no Jimmy and Terry went where the money was going to be big for them. They still go hard, Chante Moore, Mary J blige, Whitney, Lauryn Hill, and even yes even Prince has worked with them. PRINCE IS MEAN AND DOES NOT WORK WITH ANYONE, HE IS PARTICULAR AND SERIOUS ABOUT HIS CRAFT. There arrangement needs some changing but they still can give you a hit becuase these artist are proof.
For those of you who appreciate raw vocal talents of the 80"s like S.O.S band ,chq out "how bout us" by champaign ,they didnt have voice synthesizers back then and audio pitch computers every thing you here today has been processed ,churned and turned for you to get burned .For you people born after the 80s listen for melody in music its what makes you stop and listen. If you want to go further back ,motown started it all, Smokey Robinson ,Earth Wind and Fire and Marvin Gaye to name a few.
hot nights on the danforth in toronto ,meshed shoes and miami vice baby ,this was the anthom for the spectrum nightclub,no one can hold a candle to the RandB singers of the yesteryears esp. mary davis
Can somebody tell me what's the name of a lady who sings this song too? Because i have been loking evrwhere and i can find her.i think it's from the 80's or 90's.Please tell me
I feel ashamed to have only discovered this song after hearing that godawful version from Cher Lloyd on the X Factor LMAO. xD Obviously it can be safely said that this version is the best.
@ecxpac - i agree with you but (excuses excuses) 1st live performance, under the weather at this time of british months and still a young lady ....... give her time to evolve.......if she gets knocked out ..... it s experience
I remember playing this song on a sunday afternoon, when I had some friends visiting me and there was this one friend of mine who thought that this song was a current one that was playing on the radio.
