Despite the Spanish tag, August Lopaka Colon (1927 - 2004) was from Hawaii, and was Martin Denny's friend, percussionist, and "bird call guy" on the classic "Quiet Village." From all evidence, he was a super man, too. His epitaph says it all: "Every friend he made, he kept."
