they are tattoo sleeves, not henna tattoos. if you look at other videos, he will have them on during different shows, and i doubt he would have the time or be able to get the same exact design on the same exact places up and down his arms

The song sounds different because they lowered the pitch slightly.

Voice ages and if the original version is too demanding on the vocals, they modify. He doesn't sound bad, he sang every note almost perfectly, it's just different.

They won't lip sync at concerts. There's no point.

Well you know something, your right about him not sounding the same BUT! Who cares! Eric Clapton doesn't sound the same, Steven Tyler doesn't sound the same, no one sounds the same as they did in their youth but who cares. They are still great, we the fans are older too and I am damn near deaf and have to turn the speakers wide open just to hear them now and Jon doesn't tell me to get a hearning aid before coming to his concert so I'm not going to tell him to lip sync.

And if you take it into account that he damaged his knee severely back in 2000 and had to have a knee surgery. I believe that now he is mch more cautious not to damage it so much again. Once you have a major injury you become probably more prone to them and you become more cautious as well.
