cheers dude, no pro has made any videos on the xrc buggy, and since its a cheap imitation of the baja, its more or less the same. i haven't had mine running for 2 years, but i got it running today and i did the things that ur video said, and it runs beauitfully, the only problem is, is that the xrc is so sluggish and always has been, so im gonna buy etiher a nitro car or get a baja 5b

the pull start handle will have a knot, pull that with a nose plier, the loose string will come out, then tie a knot.

How about using 100 octane fuel....u can find it at any small airport.....the cost is about 6.95 a gal....thanks for the video....i hope to be getting a Baja soon...but i will leave mine stock....but i will try the 100 octane fuel.... after a couple of runs with the 87 pump gas.....thanks again...

@RcMaD96 Hey. yes it sounds like it must be very rich on the high speed needle. A nice quick way to get it roughly in the right area is lift the rear wheels, giv it full throttle and while doing that lean off the high speed needle till the motor revs out nicely. that will get u into roughly the right tuning area and then it will just take a few little adjustments until u hit the sweet spot

They are normally a little rich out the box, couple of reasons really, first reason so that during break in the engine has plenty of lubrication so that the piston and sleeve can make a nice fit. Second reason, you can't ship them optimally tuned because everyones running environment differs, so one setting is not good for everyone. The engine ships with a stable base setting, then one you're broken in you adjust according to the environment you're running in.

@rcman2010 well. yes and no. you dont break them in like nitros. basicly you fuel it up and drive it arround for the first tank using variying throttle ammounts up to about 50% or so. Then on the second tank you just tune it for power and run it like normal.

@rcman2010 yes you do buddy 3 full tanks run your car for 15-20 mins vairy the throttle as much as possible and dont go over half throttle just build it up slowly and you shouldnt have any problems :)

The only sucky thing about the baja that no one talks about is the low battery life of the Rx pack, It only lasts 45 mins The fuel tank will probably outlast the battery.

I just have the stock battery and just give it a couple of hours charge before i take it for a drive. It's never run out, even after 3 - 4 tanks. @ballhawk210 between 875 for kit to 1600 for ss 30.5 RtR and im not sure about how long the tank last as im getting mine next week. The motor runs regular gas like in a car and two stroke which is oil. You must mix the two at a certain proportion like a chain saw.

You can use 87 octane with no issues, its just the ethanol itself thats crap and ruins the engine. Higher octane is only needed on modified, higher compression engines

@Unknown409 you would be surprised how much research goes into this things, in alot of cases the engine are the same as on a bike or scooter.

strictly speaking the only mian difference is we don't have to sit on them to drive, the price isn't that bad over all either, only reason people spend so much on them is (like me) they push them too hard and keep having to upgrade them.

the petrol side is very expensive it fix but cheap on fuel, nitro cars are complete oposite, cheap parts, costly fuel.

@Unknown409 i have a nitro car with a full tank about 200cc it will run for about 7-10 mins depending on what im doing over all i think a gallon last me about 2or 3hours of driving time and engine will usaly last around 8or 9gallons of fuel befor parts start wearing out ive only had my baja for 3 months so cant say much about it, i know the 750cc tank will last me a hour driving you can see what i do with it in my vids you can see hyper (nitro) and baja (petrol) +savage (nitro) which i sold now.
