Young lady, I heard every word you said and know what you speak of. I developed RA 18 months ago and nothing in my life hurt like this, including getting run over by a car. You are entitled to tell the world how much you hurt. I don't know who will "get it', but those of us who suffer along with you understand. Believe me, you are not alone. Hang in there.
Wow...your story pulled my heart strings..I am 38 yrs old and I have had J.R.A for 28 years..I am also a type 1 diabetic from being on Methotrexate for so long..I tried Embrel and many more treatments..I too am waiting for surgery (neck fusion)..I feel your tears and I feel your pain (emotional and physical)..it would be so nice to have someone to talk to that actually understands how I live from day to day walking on broken glass!! I am sending you all my strength and wishes....xx
Thanks so much for your sweet comment. I'm sorry you have to go through this horrible crap. When do you have your surgery? I understanding the feeling of wishing there were more people who understood this disease and to be able to related. If there is anything I can do, please let me know. My heart is with you.
I'm so sorry that you're in so much pain...I hope you get some relief soon. I will say a prayer for you definitely. I don't know how much you weigh ,but I started out at 544lbs ,so I have A LOT of weight to lose too. However, it's possible :) I was in a good amount of pain after having open surgery ,but take in account that I have never had a major surgery or anything like that before...I'm a wuss basically! With you dealing with pain now it proably won't affect like as much.
I had open rny and in the hospital they will control your pain with medication. Hopefully for you it will ease ALL of your pains. I will say that since my surgery and weight loss the arthritis in my knees has been SOOO MUCH BETTER. I had to stop my medication pre-surgery and I felt it. I'm sure your pain is so much worse, and I am sorry for that. Hopefully post-op things will get a lot better for you.
Hey...So sorry you are having pain..As for the surgery, I did not have barely any pain after...I didn't even take the pain meds sent home with me..I know everyone is different. I have fibromyalgia, so I do know all about pain. I am totally here for you if you want to chat..message me! :)Amyxo
I'm truly sorry you're in so much pain...I wish there was something someone could do to help. As far as pain after surgery...the first few days were painful because of the Co2 they inflate your abdomen with--it has to absorb through the muscles and it causes a lot of discomfort. After that it was just soreness for me. I really hope you feel better. Try to keep your chin up :) You'll be in my thoughts.
I am so sorry you in pain hun. I sorta know what you are going through.. I am in pain probably 6 days out of the week, and refuse to take pain pills unless I have to, so I just suffer through it.
Hang in there sweetie, hopefully time will go by really fast for you.
Wow, Deb. I'm so sorry you have pain so much. I wish I can refuse the pills, but I can't. I know time will fly. You are so sweet. thanks for your words.
I am so sorry to hear about your pain. Please hang in there. I don't really feel any pain right now except for back pain which I know doesn't compare. But if it will make you feel any better, I will remember you in my prayers! Hugs
My goodness I just want to give you a big hug! My mom has RA too and I totally get what you are going through. I truly believe that if God brings you to it he WILL BRING YOU THROUGH IT! There has to be a reason you are going through this hun.
Thanks, Jojo, Bless her,you being her daughter, I'm sure you do. My daughter has had to help me so many times because of my hands. It's so humiliating.
I am so sorry you are hurting, how terrible it must be to be taken off the medication that helps with your pain. I have an illness that causes my muscles to hurt and there is no physical sign that I am in pain so no one understands. I was also taken off my medication during surgery and my 5 day stay at the hospital. Taking me off my medication is a life or death thing and they took me off. Long story short I know in a sense what you are going through.
As far as pain is concerned, I was in a lot of pain, I know some who were in very little pain and some not at all. Each of us is different. At least with me the pain from the surgery allowed me to focus on something other than my normal pain, to me that was good. Keep your chin up and remember we are here for you always. It's okay to be down, it's okay to say you hurt. I will hold you in my prayers. May God grant you the grace to get you through these next 14 days! I know you can do it!
Hey ~ You can whine as much as you want!! We are here for the good and the bad. I am so sorry you are in so much pain. Everyone is different...but I was in very little pain after my surgery. I had my surgery on a Monday was released on Wednesday and went to a birthday party on Saturday. But again...everyone is different. Just try to stay positive hon. Sending you hugs, love and prayers. Take care ~ Chris
I hope the surgery doesn't bring alot of pain for me either. I will try not to worry about that part. Thanks for your love and prayers, Chris. I appreciate it so much.
