  • RIP Mary Jo Kopechnie.

  • Teddy was a great man one of my heroes. RIP Teddy.

  • Ted Kennedy is a disgusting old man...taking jabs at a deceased senator who was one of the Senate's finest. Jesse Helms was everything Ted Kennedy was not...a fine, patriotic, gentleman who believed in the greatness of the American people and the Constitution.

  • Way to go Teddy! However, while I strongly disagree with Jese Helms' views, no need to condemn him. He's done that himself. I think Teddy, Bobby, and Jack were far above that type of judgementalism. Believe in the hope of the new promise.

  • BURN BABY BURN... I promised myself a party when he croaked and it was a good one. YOU HEAR that applause "Lyin in the Senate" ? You're getting yours now.

  • Thank you Teddy for your true friendship to the LGBT community.

  • Great man and will be dearly missed.

  • If you're a Christian, I don't know how you can rejoice in someone going to hell! I hope God changes YOUR heart because you are in danger of being on the wrong side of God's judgment if you don't.

  • And you are a "Christian?" What kind of "Christian" or "Catholic" are you? The hypocritical type, the "I judge others" type? Or, the truly and duly yours "I am GOD" Christian? I think you're all of them, LOSER!

  • What a wonderful video! Sending you love, Ted! xoxo

  • Americans defeated the Tet Offensive.

  • bigotry made ted very angry (as it should) RIP Teddy, Gay Massachussetts will miss you!

  • RIP Ted

    You were a great man!

    x

  • Thank you Senator Kennedy. You have been a hero for GLBT Americans

  • Thank you Ted. We will always miss you.

America has lost a great man.

  • RIP Ted.

  • Love you TED!

  • Perris I hope for your judgmental sake that your life slate is perfectly clean, free of all mistakes and misjudgments. This man has fought for equality and health care access for 40 years. What have you done?

  • I will miss you Ted. RIP :-(

  • RIP : (

  • "Judge not lest ye be judged"

Whatever happened between Ted and Mary Jo Kopechne that night in 1969 is a mystery and only God and Ted know the truth. So lets let God take care of it.

The important thing is that this man is one of the very few who has been a huge force for the LGBT community and civil rights in general. He should be given credit and respect for that..if nothing else

  • impressive man

  • I have been in a death and life situation; it is a strange zone in which decisions are not rational or premeditated. If it is your child, perhaps the choice is clear, you will die or save her though I have no first hand experience of this. If it is a friend or girlfriend your mind (what happened to me) in a split of second, decides the chances of success in trying to save her vs the chances you both die. Anyway, it is not fair to judge someone in life and death situation the way you do.
  • With all due respect, you know as well as I do that he did not do the courageous thing. He took the easy way out, and the girl is dead. Had he tried and she still died, that would be different. But if you know the facts, he didn't even try. Maybe he panicked like you said, which does not make him an evil person, but it DOES turn him into a despicable hypocrite when he pretends to take the moral high ground. That is absolutely intolerable and is the same as spitting on that poor girl's grave.

  • that's what I am trying to tell you. If you tell someone will you die for this person; decide and tell us tomorrow, you might say yes. But, when you are drowning the mind does crazy things; in my case under heavy fire. You do not understand until you be there. it depends on how your brain is wired up....I was not "despicable hypocrite" because in iran iraq war this happened to me twice and once I tried to help but the other I ran away, dunna why. I cannot stand judgmental people like you.
  • Sorry, I didn't know you were in the Iran-Iraq war. Those must have been difficult times. I understand what you are saying and it makes sense.

  • it was very hard indeed.

  • We luv you Ted.

  • how come this is longer than 10 minutes

    jesse helmes lol

  • all law takes intent into consideration when considering sentencing/punishment for a crime. This is why there are "degrees" of murder that deal directly with motivation (or thought). A "hate crime" is a crime not just against an individual, but a crime against an entire group meant to inspire fear. So, a hate crime is tantamount to terrorism and should be dealt with accordingly. Also, you may want to consider actually reading Orwell before referencing him.
