I always come back here to watch and listen to Don Walser from my hometown of Lamesa Texas. I love his rich soprano voice and yodeling. You will love it too. This is real cowboy yodeling and story telling.
Don is from my home town of Lamesa, Texas. This is one of my favorites by Don but I like all of his music. It's so tragic that he is no longer with us. :( -Jimmy
I had been trying for some time to find Rex Allen's version of Cowpoke when I came across this--This old guy has a voice ,Definately have to put it in the favorites for future listening . Thank you so much for posting .
Al, thanks for posting these videos. It's great to see and hear them again. I have copies somewhere. Dang, I miss that old man. Hard to believe this was like 13 years ago. Keep swingin'.
CONT- i love that man and wept when i heard he passed. if more people were like don walser much of the strife in today's world would be nonexistant. Ray Price is my favorite singer and he sings tears into my eyes when he does danny boy. don's version would make ray's version get misty eyes.
an american treasure. nobody sings like don walser. got to see him perform twice. the first time he had a cracked rib from a fall and you could tell he was hurting a bit but he sang on. being in the same room with him is one of the great treasures of my life.
@zekethafreakful Walser. Go check out his website sometime, he died in 2006 by the way for those of you who didn't know. 6 days after his birthday, sept 14.
I must have danced a thousand miles to Don's music! This is one of my favorites.

Cowpoke is my favorite 'cowboy' song (written by Stan Jones). Mr. Walser's yodeling is superb. Thank you for posting your father's videos.
