Pardon my ignorance, but what do you call that metal pickup cover thing? Also, where can you get them because I am interested in this bass, but would like one of those cover things, as well as the cover thing that goes over the bridge. Hope this makes sense written down haha, thanks.
@BenEd2 the one at the neck pickup called neck pickup cover, or pickup cover. the one at bridge is called bridge cover. fender sells them in pair, about USD 35.00
My bridge rattles a bit and I don't like the tone very much, so I want to change it... I thought that the BadAss Bass II would be a good choice (I know that you've got this one). So, would you recommend me this bridge or did you prefer the sound of the stock one?
The BadAss II gives alot of sustain and attack. I suggest to change the pickups too, as they can be quite noisy. Lindy fralin or nordstrand NJ4 can be good choice if you live in the states.
i never liked the stock bridge, as sometimes it gets loose. ever since i went with badass, i never had any issues.
amazing?? gee i think im not that good.. i just play what i think is right, i do learn alot of basics but the rest of it is just what you feel when you play.
well the wood is maple. but it sounds good for me. i love it. although i like ash jazzbasses. but somehow this bass represents me.
I love this playing and that tone.Your approach is right I think. Usually when people fail trying to go for something complex and impressive in general musical terms, it is because their grasp of the fundamentals is in some area or other faulty, and the only solution is to identify the fault and to play the phrase or to do some kind of technical exercise slowly, at moderate volume and with a metronome, until the issue is solved, voice included. False modesty is little better than swagger.
Bro, thank you. I think what everybody's missing is that they tend to do things that other people doing. I mean, not being themselves. This, creates pressure and often become stressful as the purpose of playing isnt honest anymore, more like a competition. I think we need to look up to ourselves and really think what we want to play and what we need to practice. Techniques come easily, but not musicality. This, has been the biggest challenge for me over the past 2 years.
What's the different after used the pickup cover?

Oh, how do you call this chrome things that you put over the pickups?
Doesn't it disturb when you slap?
Do you need a luthier to mount this thing?
(got the same bass, stock, and want to do modifications, but I don't know where to start)
I play from funk to heavy metal style.

The neck pickup cover you mean? They're originals from fender.
Half of my palm sort of hanging onto that, and it makes me easier to articulate the string that i thump on. More effortless.

Okay, thank you.
Ehm, but I've got another question... xD
