  • Be Here Now has some fuckin' crackin' songs on it- better than some of the shite on their last album. I miss the 90's. I miss the days when Liam would talk about something other than fuckin' Pretty Green.

  • @BigTimmyA Yeah, I think Be Here Now is a good album, but I think had it come out in 1996 and not 1997 things would of been different - I think they waited to long.

And as for Liam, the sad thing is Liam started that clothing label because he could'nt find the clothes he wanted in the shops........

  • Not sure why people didnt respond well to "D'You Know what I Mean?".

I remember listening to it in my work when it was first played on UK radio, I loved it but most of my co-workers hated it before they had even finished listening to it. It seems they just didnt want to give them a chance, either they were fed up of Oasis (meaning they were never true fans in the first pace) or they were fed up of Liams arrogance and saw it as a way to get back at him in some small way.

  • simpley fookin great. wat do w do without them. modern day greats godlike. 1 day we will realise how important they really were. 1 word legends live forever

  • fade in out is a tune

  • How fucking cool is Liam on the DYou Know What I Mean video!

  • i wagged school in 97 to buy d'know what i mean when it came out i was 15 and MAD FOR IT!!!

  • @JMuscardelli Hahaha yea I saw that...thought only us rednecks knew what KFC is :)

  • I forgot 'OK Computer' as well

  • Noel: "nothing better than the best album of 1997 is good enough for us"

Well on that front you failed then cos 'Fat of the Land' & 'Urban Hymns' beat 'Be Here Now' hands down

  • @mlc3 haha dont talk shit

  • "we are like everybody else we still don't give a shit" LOL

  • I love 3:28 - Liam won't let the lady apply his makeup - "No, not on camera." So cute.

  • 1997 I was never out the fucking pub and got to see my fair share of footy matches.

Were you 14 in 1997 or a fucking tramp or something... HA HA.

  • wow guigsy uses his fingers 2 play bass instead of a plick on 1:35 thats rare

  • what does he says please, i'm not english

  • He's saying you've got to live it and have a good time and then at 7:20 he says 'even the guy in the butcher shop can be rock n roll, living it up in a butcher shop and that, you know what I mean?' Lol :)

  • fade in-out by oasis.

  • fade-in out

  • noel's laughs makes me warm in the inside

  • what the fuck is goin on with those gay matching hats

  • "be here now" is utterly amazing if you don't like it your not an oasis fan.

  • you tell em

  • You must be fucking joking because Be Here Now is an amazing album..Dyou know what i mea, the girl in the dirty shirt, it's getting better man, stand by me, these are all classics, and i think that in oasis released there albums in order of greatness Be here now definitely in the top 3 with morning glory and definitely maybe..sorry..

  • at that time this rocked

  • i love how oasis always say they are the best! i would think its cocky but they so genuinely believe it themselves they are the best!!!

  • i dunno what it is, but i'm just fucking obsessed with the Be Here Now era. and although the album has a few dodgy songs on it, i fucking love it.

  • @Hughezy Its a fucking amazing album indeed!!!First album i listened from them!!!

  • if only we could have seen cloudburst played live!

  • can someone tell me when liam shaved his hair off please? was it late 96/early 97?

  • yeah, look, i love the fuckers too, i spke to noel last night for the radio 2 line of enquiry as in been a fan since the beginning, BUT, just LOOK at bonehead. he fucking hates it. not keen at all. i really respect bonehead. besides noel he is/was the most intelligent member of the band, and he just wanted to make tunes. this be here now fucking helicopter shit, he was just like: nah, this isn't why i got into it. i miss bonehead. he was the musicians musician...

  • wat was da song at da start please tell me

  • its fade in-out, on Be Here Now

  • *favourite

  • ''do you know what i mean and ''stand by me'' are my songs from the album be here now

  • i wish bands these days had even a bit of the enthusiasm oasis had and still have , they are the music of my generation and they have got the character that all the greats have had , they are timeless , pure and simple ,and i wonder if we will ever see anyone on the same level of importance again ? i hope so.

  • Love 'em too pieces put why are they dresses as 70's pageboys at a crap wedding! lol!!

  • Check out our cover of "high horse lady"... man!

  • Quality editing. Love the way the clip starts with the clip clip on the guitar.

  • be here now's a good album but it had some strong competition that year; ok computer, urban hymns, ladies and gentleman and vanishing point to name a few!

  • Yeah, Urban Hymns was the album of '97. But MG was the album of 95' & DM for '94.

  • no doubt about dm in 94 and mg was the soundtrack of 95 but nothern soul by the verve is total classic material which will stand the test me thinks.

  • YEAH! A Northern Soul kicks Urban Hymns ass. Im gald you think so. Also A Storm In Heaven is also some of their best. Oasis & The Verve are two of the best british bands of all time

  • all the oasis albums (except SOTSOG,HC) r better thaan any of the verves albums.FACT

  • why can't people exept there are bands that are better then OASIS as much as I love em!! hay I've even met em!!! but still Liam did't even say owt to me when I told him Ur 5th best lol!!!!!!!!he asks who who's better then, Well JOY DIVISION/THE SMITHS/THE STONE ROSES/THE VERVE he lafed & said I let U off!!!! cuz they fuckin kw!!!!!!!!!!!!!mind U he prob let me off cuz ther all Mancs!!!!!!!

  • Joy division are cool, smiths are over rated.... stone roses are over rated... VERVE ARE SHITE MELODRAMATIC GIRLS...

oasis may not be the best band in the world or w.e but nobody beats noels songwriting, admit it... he makes you feel fuzzy inside doesnt he

  • No not at all lol!!! I love em!!!! but no ones gonna win this!!! are we? I prefur Ashcroft's songs!!!! Litsen to cast No shadow!! about ASHCROFT then litsen to NORTHEN SOUL about Noal!!!! oh ps watch a vid on here NOAL ON THE SMITHS!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Oh PS as much as I love Noal!!! hav to admit he recycles other peoples songs. Cat Burglar!!!!

  • Ps: at least I hav respect for ya as U say U love JOY DIVISION!!! so different strokes for different cats!!! he's gettin bigger by the year when in 1991 I was litsening to em & most people did'nt kw of em!!! he's the modern James Dean!!

  • i dont care who noel likes... i like who i like :D

  • the smiths are overrated? thats one of noels idols

  • On the subject of bands better than oasis, noel has already said Ocean Colour Scene are better, and i always thought that before!

    Religon:

    1. Ocean Colour Scene

    2. Oasis

    3. The Verve

The holy trinity of music! Im only 16, so I wasnt really around at the time, its just what ive chosen.

Ontopic: Be here now is just awe-inspiring. An amazing record if you actually listen to it. If you read around the thing it ruins it, so dont! Just love the thing!

  • You've got great taste man.

  • no way man Standing on The Shoulder of Giants is fucking amazing

  • U Thinks right my clever mate!

  • thats be here now album was there 3rd best album fuckin rocked it did

  • Gotta love the coke hats. Noel must look back at that and cringe.

  • dont be daft tose paddy caps own

  • noel solo at 1:30 is amazing

  • it looks like their mam dressed em the same aahaha

  • WTF is up with Noel's hat

  • its Oasis showing off and its brilliantly cool, everyone either loves or hates Be Here Now, i love it. and if i was them, id have made a video like this

  • 7.30...liam talking about rock n roll lifestyle and he is standng drinking orange flavoured hooch!!! hahahahaha

  • Jonny Depp did the solo on fade in/out did he not ?

  • I think it was on the Warchild version of fade away... and Kate Moss did backng vocals... could be wrong

  • yep he did

hes mentioned in the liner notes

and what a slide solo that is...

  • hahaha you fuckin twat oasis best band ever

  • its funny that innit since oasis have sold over 51 million records and recieved over 30 awards and become one of the most influential bands in the world, and what have placebo done? fuck all!

  • no they suck

  • only if they made some political songs like lonnon

  • hus lonnon?

  • top album

bonehead is much better than gem

oasis are the best band ever

  • fuck. that.

gem and bell blow those two morons out of the water.

  • i like noel's little chuckle at 6.53!

  • Its a decent album, but Bonehead doesnt half talk a power o shite in the first minute. "Noels songwriting improved 110%", what the fuck? Gem is a far better addition to the band than Bonehead IMO, same could be said for Andy Bell as well.

  • Great album but d'you know what i mean was a quite boring but the rest of the album is a top album. I agree with liam that it's a top album.

  • its still a fucking good album,good songs,stand by me,fade in out,dont go away,i hope i think i know.

  • Great album.

  • i really wish i could've been in the studio when they were making Be Here Now, it would've been such a constant party.

  • liam is so awesome

  • that album was amazing until half way through the first song you realise your are only halfway through the first song and you have a dragged out four minute long ending to get through the rest of the album rolls downhill from there. doh

  • got to have fun aint ya

  • cool
