  • WHERE'S YOUR VINTOREZ, STALKYER?

  • Radiation even spoiled quality of this video :D

  • @Alansiwoglowy you're right, the radiation in the zone actually shut down electronic machinery and cameras when they were cleaning up.

  • 500 Roentgens in 5 hours will kill a person. 1000 would be so lethal, you would probably be dead before you got out, or shortly afterwards.

I think the other comments are correct. You are misreading the equipment.

  • @Draknfyre I was about to comment that. Maybe is 1000 mSv/h?

  • Beware of dog. Especially the mutants.

  • good your car didn't suddenly break down, THAT would scare the shit out of all

  • uhh you would be dead.... if it was 1000

  • @comanche119 hour not second

  • @alluuuuu1 this is a stupid question, but; Whats the difference?

  • 1000 Roentgens/hour and you would be dead in less than a minute. Not to mention it would fry all of the electronics with you including your camera.

  • 1000 roentgen/hr?? Don't be silly!

    That's showing 1000µR/hr, which is actually 0.001/1 roentgen/hr, or equiv to 10µSv/hr.

1000R of γ emissions, or 10Sv/10Gy would have seen you vomiting within 10 minutes, and certain death about a week after.

Your measurements were 1,000,000, or 1 million fold out!

  • How did you get through the brain scorcher?!?

  • Comments on snorks and artifacts of stalker game are lol,but now you have to SHUT THE FUCK UP and watch the video without saying stupid bullshits

  • 1000 :O yer dead

  • 1000 roentgens? wtf? isn't that the lethal dose? i mean you probably hauled ass out of there after the video, but still......

  • Look! over there in the horizon...Is that a...why is that soldier crouching with a bloody gasmask? Oh shit!

    *Game Over*

    Apuyez La Spaytiez puor reimpieyar

  • "GODDAMN SNORKS" *DIES* game over

  • OMGODNESS RED FOREST IS REAL!!!!! I GOT THE PASSWORD FOR THE SECRET ROOM......

  • @daniellebcn LOL... NO SHIT?! ITS LIKE A DISCOVERY OF AMERICA.............

  • 1000 rads??oh my

  • how are you not dead????????

  • @csknives1985 it is relatively safe for a short visit. Just don't touch anything (especially plant matter as the radiation clings to it)

  • @csknives1985 Because the effects of radiation depend on intensity and duration. They are being exposed to *relatively* high levels, but not certain danger.

It's all about the cumulative dose.

  • I hope you took some rad-x before doing this and then took some rad-away for good measure.

  • @ryancicocki lol FO best game series ever ^_^

  • @ description:

    1000 roentgens per hour??

Lol have a nice radiation sickness. I bet it was 1,000 roentgens, which wouldve been extremely much already too. Maybe 1,000 milliroentgens?

  • are these guys crazy

  • " yeah so I was saying, I always wanted to visit this area, because of the stalker games and FUCK A BLOODSUCKER!!! DRIVE!"

  • @TheMoonmahn GTA MOTHA FUCKA!!!

    (driver runs down the bloodsucker)

    lolz

  • is it gamma radiation?

  • @morbidangelofdeath1 The three main types of radiation that is still affecting the Chernobyl site is caesium (gamma), strontium (beta), and plutonium (alfa) so there is still all three types of dangerous radiation around the site. But the main contaminate is the alfa radiation. As for that spot in the woods I don't know if I would buy it because the levels officially recorded are no where near that high.

  • @jc35957 Alpha radiation's not that dangerous. Your skin can protect you from it, IIRC. And beta rays can't penetrate through solid clothing, so it's none too dangerous, either (if you're dressed well).

  • @GenghisKhan44 I agree with you if you dress properly you would be fine but the amount of alpha radiation still floating around Chernobyl you're skin wouldn't protect, you would want to wear one of the full body white paper/cloth suits. But yeah other then that you would be fine as long as you didn't stay there for an extended period of time.

  • did you find any good artifacts

  • I really wish that stalker game didn't include Chernobyl.

    It's so annoying.

  • @GasStation2 You still have to admit, it's a pretty good idea to create a mysterious game.

  • "Hazardous Radiation levels, Leave the dangerous zone immediately."

  • Comment removed

  • GET OUT OF HERE STALKER

  • "Critical psi-emission level. Leave the dangerous zone immediately."

  • Was the clicking sound from the camcorder as gamma was effecting the cameras mic

  • Did you visit the 100 Rads Bar?

  • Pripyat is around 150-1000uR/H some places in Red Forest are still over 1R/H though. Pripyat still has "hot" spots though, why you need a radiation counter. Without one, you could be walking into a death trap. You cant see, or feel or smell it. But its everywhere, the radiation.

  • Roll down the windows and you will get superhero powers! Thats a smart idea

  • assuming it is Roentgens/hour...

On this scale an exposure of about 500 R in 5 hours is lethal for humans.

A typical exposure of normal background radiation for a human is 200 mR per year or 23 μR per hour.

^ dug this info up on wiki...

  • lol did u see the snork damn

  • Drink some Plutonium and then shove a geiger counter up your ass and then see if you'll turn into a vampire. :)

  • try not to run into electric anomalies

  • I wonder if they have air circulation on ^^

  • 1000 R/h would be rather ... unpleasant. The most we've measured in the Red Forest area was about 1.5 mR/h. (And Pripyat dosimeters black out at 2 mR/h)

  • AN EMISSION IS ABOUT TO HIT!

    FIND COVER

    -IMMEDIATELY-

  • MAX 2 roentgens / year, thats the safe for a human.. 1000 Roentgens/hour? .... DIE...

In the command room of reactor block 4 r. Geiger counter measures over 12000 Roentgens/hour at 26-04-'86

  • Good job S.T.A.L.K.E.R.

  • 1000 roentgens an hour, wtf

  • The Quality of Video is bad. How you guys think why ?! They shouldn't stop car.

  • i don't see bloodsuckers...fake

  • @fdrpyahoocom uh.. actually doesnt the fact that you CANT see the bloodsuckers prove that it's real?

  • it was a joke c'mon

  • @fdrpyahoocom And you dont seem to get MY joke. I'm implying that there really ARE bloodsuckers in the video, but they are cloaked, because bloodsuckers never just wander around in plain sight.

  • hahaha now i understand..to much time without playin stalker ^^

  • omg thats so creepy i wanna go there

    i hope you took rad-x

  • ive been threw there, you have to haul ass other wise you risk being irradiated.

  • 1000 Roentgens can't be correct. Probably 1000 micro-roentgens, which is very high.

  • @astranine 1000 roentgens an hour in the reactor its self so yeah it cant be the same there

  • lol...the dudes name is Dennis ...Know him. I also did the tour.

  • end your pursuit now, stalker...or you will die

  • does the popping sound has anything to do with radiation?

  • sure it is. the more it beeps the worse it is.

  • very bad if it is one constant and loud beeb or click. it can kill you in seconds if their is too much!

  • no, wrong

radiation exposure works on a celluar level and has a latency period

and 1000 R/h wont kill you in seconds

1000Rem's is generally a common death dose

dont think you know everything just because its youtube.

Other note, fucking hell i never knew the red forest was that contaminated

  • @athlonz2007 yes, radioactive particles (or Electormagnetic waves in the form of gamma rays) are actually magnitizing small segments of the video tape, leading to visible static and audible pops everytime a particle strikes.

  • yes its radiation effecting the speaker if you stay there for a couple of hours the camera will start to fail

  • how do the plants turns red???? the radiation??? i thought the radiation would kill the plant and make it bare...

  • thay are dead :D

  • I am 44...over my entire life this is the saddest news story that will never ever end...plutonium-239 has halflife of 24000 years...that means the pu-239 is lethal for 400,000 years!...i commanded 14 m-60a3tts tanks in us army...never thought ussr would nuke itself and warsaw pact with fallout of 400 hiroshimas...i pray for everyone in area!.../@ milwaukee

  • 48000 years

  • u played too much to stalker yah still a very good game

  • 1000 rotogens an hour? is that safe?

  • No, of course not.

  • no xD

  • no, that would kill you almost instantly. this is measuring microrentgens/hour.

  • Is that the radiation interfering with your camera microphone?

  • This will be pretty much fine. If 500 Roentgen/second will fuck you up, then this is fine.

  • Yeah... Where are the jumpy little snorks?

  • @WhirlWind444 sorry about that...had a little party goin on with some other loners with some vodka and shotuns

  • Where are the snorks? xD

  • It was only red until the trees got cut down. Basically, as the wind blew the plume of radioactive smoke through that section of forest, it killed every tree and left them ginger-brown in color. Then the liquidators cut them all down and buried them in trenches, but the area's still very contaminated.

  • so is that dangerous? or only if you stay there for a long time?

  • well yes and just to show you the danger.

there is a place where fallout fall the most that is called (in french ''couloir de la mort'') translate ''corridor of death''.

it's a huge line where people live and one time each year they must go out of this place for a periode of time to control the radiation they gain.

  • most of the radiation has "sunk" into the plants and trees....so the geiger counters can still pick up the radiation...but its only harmful to stay there for a long time

  • You can travel there for about 1-2 days. If you stay longer, you will turn into a zombie. If you stay for 1 week, you will turn into a snork. If you stay for 2-3 weeks you will turn into a blood sucker. If you stay 1 month you will turn into a controller. If you stay for 20 years, you will turn into wish granter.

  • Though mutants or "bloodsuckers" never were in this city, they all came from the game and the stalker idea came from a old russian movie.

  • yes but the old russian move isnt a action film and when I remember there arent monsters in it just people but they are fighting against to reach the "wunschgönner" first I think in english it means whichgranter or something like that.

At the beginn stalker shouldnt play at tschernobyl but I´m really happy that it plays there its a mysterious place and good to make such a game with mutants and something like that.

  • the stalker movie had nothing to do with chernoobyl though. it was a forbidden zone that had supernatural things in it, but it was not a power plant or Chernobyl

  • And the old russian movie was based on the book Roadside Picnic

  • i see no bloodsuckers

  • Thats suicide dude.

  • Dont be a pussy, roll down those windows and breathe that irritated air!

  • @Killerclownmeat irradiated you mean?

  • @mexicanerd

    spelling isn't quite my forte'

    Especially ll months ago.........dark ages.......

  • @Killerclownmeat they are already exposed to it, opening the window won't do anything more

  • @ovaxova

I am quite aware of that. I was just making a, oh what would you call that, a sarcastic joke i guess?

  • @Killerclownmeat omfg you asshole you die when you do that for 2 or more hours noob

  • @nerfmaster33

awww look it's my favorite creature......the troll.

  • @Killerclownmeat 4 real? youd better be trolin

  • @nerfmaster33

Why do you speak like that? Are you mentally un-equipped for words?

  • @Killerclownmeat irradiated.

  • @Killerclownmeat you made my day funny shit

  • before i die i wish to visit the zone of alienation at least once

anyway, it saddens me that most people only know about chernobyl because of cod 4 and stalker

    still great games though

  • I knew about chernobyl before the games were out. And when they came ... i was so happy to play !! Kill mutants motherfuckers bloodsuckers !

  • agreed.

  • Now your car is contaminated too ! And mostly your wheels because of driving on the grass :D

  • did you know that the Red Forest covers more ground than Great Britain

  • That unit reports measurements in Roentgen and not Sievert?

  • if i wouldva recorded the vid with a nokia i would saw some white dots

but hey it's not the radioactivity!! it's the phone thats rubbish!! Low quality control check!

  • The forest isn't even red nor was it ever, just some fucking idiot who was overwhelmed with exaggeration when the incident occured said that....I'll give that cunt red

  • dude chill, no need to do unnessasery swearing because ill do it for you to the guy who made it red forest :D

  • it was red right after the disaster. check out wikipedia.

  • You wanna get cancer?

    Then GO !!

  • hahaha!!! u r stupid

  • When I turn 18, my first thing on my things to do list is going to be a visit to the zone. I've just won a Bulgarian dosimeter on an auction and I'm going to test if it works.Later I'll share a video how it works. Wish me luck!!!!

  • We should hook up and go searching for artifacts!

    Good hunting Stalker!

  • Amen to that brother. :) I got an idea, lets meet up there. Really, I am going there, infact, abuddy of mine has a trip booked to go to the zone. He's going in October.

  • Dude.

You forgot to bring your AN-94 Abakan and your stalker suit. You never leave home without them if you plan to go in the Zone... >_>

  • Go back!

  • LOL.

  • Christ.

  • Beep!

    Click Click Click

    (Dies)

    XD

  • Ain't going there meaning a extreme fast death ?

  • you seem to be extremely uneducated about what radiation is. There are even people that are working to this day inside the power plant. As long as you take precautions it is "relatively" safe.

  • Either that, or you play call of duty too much.

  • No. Staying too long is a significant health risk, though. Some people still live within 30 km of the plant. It is not safe to eat the food they grow in their gardens. The main isotope still present is Cs. Most other background radiation has significantly decayed in 20+ pears, but the Cs isotopes are still there. The nasty stuff is still in a rapidly decaying sarcophagus. A new one must be built.

  • i saw that its a DOME but i still think there should be protection underground !

  • the place ran as a power pland from the day if melted down till 2000. people were there the whole time.

  • watch out for snorks :O

  • and bloodsuckers...yep they pissing of a little

  • Plus, the roads are less contaminated than other areas since road doesn't absorb radiation as well as some materials, like wood. I bet dirt absorbs better than road too.

  • It's simply washed away from the road by rain...(and it's radioactive dust)

If U look at othe vids from there, they usually show the difference between the road and a meter from it on the grass, it's quite remarkable (sometimes even more than 100x)

  • uhm sry i´m pretty young but

how the f*ck they can drive through an contaminated area , and they´re still alive ??

maybe i´m wrong pls answer me

  • I think the radiation is only strong enough to have effects after being there 3 hours.. driving through is safe though.

  • Radiation takes time to affect people, and the time that it takes damage to occur is directly dependent on the amount of radiation. Simply said, there wasn't enough of the radiation around to do long-term damage.

Also, if I remember properly, the radiation here is mostly gamma particles, which have the least damaging effects out of the three main types. (And to the people scratching their heads at that statement, least damaging does not mean its the least penetrative, which it is)

  • what geiger is that?

  • The audio clicks are caused by the radiation FYI.

On a vid where scientists venture into the plant, lots of clicking like that is audible and they explain why :)

  • OVER 1000??? they dead yet?... hmm maybe they'll become S.T.A.L.K.E.R's

  • IT'S OVER 9000!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • when radiation is over 100rps you will not be dead, just will loose your balls=)

  • lol, he gets out of the car and his balls drop off and roll down the jeans legs xD

  • whats highest possible r/h count and how fast can it kill you?

  • The upper limit it almost indefinite... it will allways take some time, the extreme cases (nuke :D), it will waporize a person in a matter of microseconds...

  • Get of here Stalker

  • hey stalker, cmon, we need mercenarys in 100 rads

  • 500R in 5 Hours is Lethal.

1000 in 1 Hour.... WoW :P Prepare to Glow forever :P

  • U sure it's whole rentgens(not mili- or micro- )?

I'm pretty sure that 1000R/h bullshit, the geiger they have couldn't even measure that...

  • 500R/h has a 50% death rate.

  • better check your trunk. There may be a snork is hidding.

  • LOlz :D made me laugh :D

  • haha

  • ooooooh chernobyl......

    huge background radiation btw

  • Better save some money from the trip for some chemo therapy.

  • Awesome

  • you see it wasnt called red forest until the diseaster happened because people seaid the trees were glowing red

  • not glow red, the leaves turned red like in autum (exept it was the end of spring)

  • it actually got red after buriing wastes of the explosion there, most of the vegetation turned some strange brown and red tone and then died. i'm not an expert in radiation but i think his face must be in his ass by now.

  • the radiation exposure is not that much...visiting is one thing, living there for the rest of your life would be something different...

you'd be quite suprised how much you recive when traveling on a plane...

  • So being exposed to radiation from cell phone antennas, microwaves and televisions and being exposed in an area where a nuclear reactor blew itself up is the same to you?

And cell phones, microwaves etc. don't have RADIATION. The danger comes from the electromagnetic pulses they produce, which stop when the device is does not broadcast/is off. Now in Chernobyl we don't have EM pulses, but uranium spread in the whole area. That's far worse I think, isn't it?

  • the audio pops are a sign of radiation

  • So may people cannot comprehend the fact that this guy was never in any immediate danger....

    A mR/hr is a whole hell of a lot less than a R/hr.

Maybe if camped out in the forest for a month, rolling around in the dirt, etc. he might* show a few symptoms of radiation poisoning.

Going there for a day gives you little or no more radiation than an overseas airline flight.

  • 100 roentgens an hour is roughly one million times the average background radiation we get everyday from our electronic devices and the sun, and this is a DIFFERENT kind of radiation. There is a difference between UV, Alpha, Micro, EMP, and Gamma. Gamma, being the worst of them. That guy is actually running at a HIGH risk of developing Thyroid Cancer. Thousands of R/h is known to cause bodily disentregation after an hour of exposure. Think lepersy.

  • read wikipedia or something like that before you say something...

    1) the rotgen unit is for ionizing radiation ONLY, practically no house appliance generates it(some fire detectors do), there are different units for that...

    2) why would he have thyroid cancer? there's no radioactive iodine in the air...

    3) gamma is not THE worst, just penetrating, if you want the bad stuff, go for neutrons or alfa from close proximity, I suggest reading on the Sievert unit for explanation...

  • Buddy, I trust a book more than Wikipedia. Actually, I trust just about anything more than I trust anything on the internet. People are full of shite. Maybe you should realize this and think before you speak. Maybe I am bullshitting for a reason.

Besides, I may be mistaken on the unit, but I do vaguely recall a book on the Manhattan project that pretty much explained the effects of different doses of radiation,, and the units were roentgens.

  • 1)And the rotgen in an IONISING RADIATION unit... I was poinitig out, that NO house appliance generates ionizing radiation (unless you happen to have a X-ray machine or a iradiator at home).

2)Being exposed to 100R/h, the camera would have a severe noise problem, there would be colored pixels showing randomly all over... there's just no way (even in chernobyl) they would allow such exposure to humans

3)A book once printed, CANNOT be corrected, the internet CAN! The best way is more sources...

  • thanks for posting, I wonder if those audio pops are also a sign of radiation

  • and theres always a probability you catch a skin cancer the next time you step out the door. and a probability you wont.

  • why the hell are those guys even driving through there? *crazy*

  • Its safe to go into there. just not into the reactor.....duh...

  • why is it safe if the geiger counter is registering over 1,000??

  • It isnt dangerous, yes its bad in big doeses but I dont think they are going to the red forest to set up camp.
