Fact: Republican Senator Charles Sumner made a Civil Rights in 1875. It wasn't passed. Republicans wrote new Civil Right Acts in 1957 and 1960. The 1964 one from JFK was an updated version of it. South Carolina was the first state to secede from the Union and had also been the first state to ratify the original constitution of the United States on February 5, 1778. Much of the northern Whites were opposed to slavery. They viewed it as part of the oppression of the crown. They would have never fought the south if ending slavery was not a goal. The democratic party is the party of slavery, segregation, intimidation, terror, disenfranchisement of voters and complete opposition to all Civil Rights legislation. This includes the bills proposed by Democrats JFK and LBJ.

This song is retarded. The northern democrats voted for the civil rights act 101-4. They were the liberals. The southern democrats on the other hand were conservative and voted against civil rights.
You obviously didn't understand what I was saying. I already explained this in my comment. It was the southern democrats who voted against civil rights. They were conservative democrats not liberal democrats who are the subject of this song. The Northern democrats were liberal democrats and they voted for civil rights even more overwhelmingly than the republicans.
Many African American people are in poverty because of what has happened to them in the past. When the civil rights act was passed black people didn't automatically become equal to white people economically. Much of the poverty that was caused by centuries of oppression still exists today. I see no problem with helping black people that are in poverty considering that it's not their fault. It's the fault of the government oppressing their ancestors for centuries.
We come into this world the same - naked. Why does the black man or woman deserve the job when they do not score as highly on tests, or have as much experience as any other race? My college degree cost ME 6 years and a great deal of hard work - the first in my family to ever finish college.
Every community has free public schools. How much money do most of our parents provide us with in adulthood to live this life? I see no prob in helping those in poverty - of any race - to get out of it.
Are you saying that the government should leave black people to struggle through poverty even though the government made laws oppressing them and causing the poverty in the first place?
I'm saying welfare (without physical limitations/mental inability) should be transitional, as should be temporary housing. Were these "blacks" deprived public schools?
I've lived below the poverty level as a single parent, and am now a college grad with MSE. I like the fact that Thomas Sowell's professor told him, "Never come back to me and say the white man held you down." Are you saying "blacks" need to be supported forever? When does the excusing stop? How long do we blame others?
No I'm not saying they should be on welfare forever. I'm just saying there's nothing racist about helping blacks in poverty considering it's probably not their fault. It's the fallout from the government and white people oppressing them.

Fact: Republican Senator Charles Sumner made a Civil Rights in 1875. It wasn't passed. Republicans wrote new Civil Right Acts in 1957 and 1960. The 1964 one from JFK was an updated version of it. Oh, and I almost forgot. 79 % of the Republicans in House of Rep voted yes for the act, and only 63 % of the Democrats voted yes for it. More Republicans supported Civil Rights than Democrats. But as the Liberal media would say, Republicans are nothing but racist, intolerant hicks, like the dems were.

History has been so distorted in our schools. South Carolina was the first state to secede from the Union and had also been the first state to ratify the original constitution of the United States on February 5, 1778. If you look into that piece of history more you will see that the Civil War did not start over slavery. The only way the Federal Government could get the war going was to hijack the north's ideals.

Much of the northern Whites were opposed to slavery. They viewed it as part of the oppression of the crown. They would have never fought the south if ending slavery was not a goal. Lincoln's administration knew this and used the slavery issue to get the north to fight the south. Lincoln once stated that if he could win the war without freeing the slaves he would do it. As usual, the corrupt hijacked the side of the people of moral beliefs. Now both sides are corrupt.

Democracy belongs at the state level. We can rule by majority on issues like speed limits and interstate trade, but not on human rights.
Republicanism belongs at the federal level. A republic sets rules that prohibit the states from violating human rights like slavery, segregation and voting rights.
The Republican Party is the champion of all Civil rights legislation. Republicans passed all three Amendments and 19 civil rights acts before 1875. The democrats overturned all the civil rights acts.

They were conservative democrats not liberal democrats who are the subject of this song. Many African American people are in poverty because of what has happened to them in the past. When the civil rights act was passed black people didn't automatically become equal to white people economically. Much of the poverty that was caused by centuries of oppression still exists today. I see no problem with helping black people that are in poverty considering that it's not their fault. It's the fault of the government oppressing their ancestors for centuries.

We come into this world the same - naked. Why does the black man or woman deserve the job when they do not score as highly on tests, or have as much experience as any other race? My college degree cost ME 6 years and a great deal of hard work - the first in my family to ever finish college.
Every community has free public schools. How much money do most of our parents provide us with in adulthood to live this life? I see no prob in helping those in poverty - of any race - to get out of it.

I've lived below the poverty level as a single parent, and am now a college grad with MSE. I like the fact that Thomas Sowell's professor told him, "Never come back to me and say the white man held you down." Are you saying "blacks" need to be supported forever? When does the excusing stop? How long do we blame others?
