Lol, Graffin doesn't sing "Christian" songs, he's a Naturalist. SCIENCE. This is what he said in one interview: " Instead I bill myself as a naturalist, which I think says a lot more. Because a naturalist is someone who... first of all—they study natural science, and they have a hopeful message—I think—to send to the world, which is... we can agree on what the truth is... and it has to be through experimentation, verification, and new discoveries, followed by more verification." ETC.
I know that Greg Graffin will be saved someday by Lord Christ Jesus. His great-grandfather (page 49; Is Belief In God Good, Bad Or Irrelevant? A professor and a punk rocker discuss science, religion, naturalism & christianity Edited by Preston Jones, ISBN 978-0-8308-3377-1) E.M. Zerr wrote a multi-volume Bible commentary in the 1930s that is still in use in rural areas of the Midwest in a sect called Church of Christ. I have sent to Greg G. one year ago a book of Richard Wurmbrand (ex-atheist)
He's an atheist, and always will be. If god saves good atheists, and he's in fact real, then yes, you're right. Otherwise Greg, myself, and millions (billions) of others will go to hell. If god doesnt save good atheists, and he's real, then he's a prick, and I wouldnt want any part of the domain he calls 'heaven'. But I'm not gonna loose any sleep over it :). Cheers to good music, friend.
You all know that Greg is not writing Christian music right. Greg is a hardcore Naturalist which means he has no belief in spirits or anything of supernatural nature. Jesus was a man who walked the earth nothing more. He was not special he was a simple man who lived and died. Read about naturalism understand it, Greg's dissertation for his doctorate was one Monism, Atheism and the Naturalist world view, that is all for now
@lonewanderer267 I did not know that, but thank you for that information. I posted the song because I like Mr. Graffin's version. It didn't matter to me who sang it.
@ClassicDamsel Jesus Christ Is The Lord And He Is Coming Soon As The Bible Says. I hate these americanjesusfalseprophets;Benny Hinn,JacobsCindy&RHB; This is a prophecy for them, I think so: "For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift....If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame." (check it from your own Bible!) (Hebr. 6:4-6)
@azw596 You're very welcome! I thought I should explain since this is not exactly a song that fits into the theme of my channel. Oh, I feel so much the richer just by the other Youtubers I have met on here! So, I am absolutely thrilled to know that my videos are having a similar effect.
Your first video! Congratulations! Sorry I'm late in commenting! I'm familiar with the song, but until now not the artist. He certainly has a great sound. Thanks for sharing!
@azw596 That's okay! Would you like to know the story behind my posting this? Well, I had discovered the song after watching the recent version of the movie "True Grit". I loved the tune and when I looked it up, this was the most popular version, which I then fell in love with. I wanted to share it with some friends, but I couldn't find it on Youtube. So, I decided that I would make a channel and post it myself. (I'll have to make another post to finish)
@azw596 (2nd comment) I had no plans of making any other videos and only chose to name my channel "ClassicDamsel" because I wanted a name that reflected my interests, even if I never posted another video. However, later that day I got some video ideas and decided to really live up to my channel's name. So here I am, a Youtube enthusiast with 27 videos on my channel right now. Life's funny, isn't it? I believe it was Providence that got me active on here.
@azw596 Just wanted to say one more thing that didn't fit in my last post. Not long after posting this video, I found the song. It's title was in a foreign language though.
@ClassicDamsel Once again you've displayed your skill at mind reading. Of course I wanted to know! Thank you SO much for sharing the story behind your channel, your name and your first video. I am extremely glad that you decided to post more videos, certainly living up to your channel's name. 27 videos later, we are all so much the richer. I thank Providence for getting you active on here and for allowing me to discover you, and I thank and bless you for all that you're doing!
