I took my wife to this show. I had seen The Cure several times before but my wife had never seen them live. She has been to many concerts but even she says that this was the best show she had ever been to just because of the fact that The Cure sound so damn good live.
After being a fan for 20 years I finally got a chance to see them live in my hometown. The experience was to say the least pleasantly surreal. Definately one of the best 3 1/2 hours in my life well spent!
Don't worry about it caterpillargirl..it doesn't matter..we love they and thats the point..and this song is f***ing great, i've heard it million times before but i'm just can't have enough of it..never..in music, nothing left but cure..
I will remember this night I will never understand (4x) I will never understand How this night... I will say to you (can't make out) I will say to you (can't make out) I will say to you there's nothing left but (something) and a happy crowd. One day I will take(something) It's not me (8x) There's nothing left in life There's nothing left but friends There's nothing left but (something) There's nothing left but hope There's nothing left but there you are(?)
I'm so sick of the "Robert's fat and old" comments. They are useles.. The man is not fat! For f*cks sake, he's 49 and absolutely wonderful to see live in concert. He can belt out some tunes, old and new, with emotion and conviction that makes me admire every bit of work he's ever done.
I hate Cure critics who judge appearance instead of talent and a motive to put on the best show ever. Fat is totally not a valid issue here, and it's not true to begin with.
thanks so much for your post...i agree totally..i get so sick of people criticizing him this way...you couldnt have said it any better!! I go to NYC tonight to see them!!!! woooo!!!!
He is so fat ...what happened..it doesn't even look like Robert Smith..I feel sorry for him he might have some disease that made him all bloated. Doesn't sound like Robert either....sad
?!?!?!?!?! Firstly for being in our eyes for all but 30 YEARS.....ROBERT LOOKS FUCKING AMAZING FOR REACHING HIS 50TH FUCKING YEAR ON THIS EARTH...AND HAS BLESSED THIS WORLD WITH HIS MAGIC....You shouldnt be feeling any sorrow...you should be rejoicing...doesnt sound like Robert??? Which one have you been listening to??? It sure as hell sounds like the one I know...hate to get defensive but I think he looks more amazing and sounds more amazing than ever....
És um grande ESTÚPIDO. Almond, deves ser balofo... com esse nome, só pode. Se eu sei inglês tu deves compreender português. Ou és ignorante, para além de estúpido?
You're an idiot. The man has aged 30 years since he started The Cure. Go wrangle up a bunch of 49 year old men and compare them to Robert.
I just saw him last night. Front row. He's not fat in the slightest. He's always had a short neck... I think this is what contributes to the feeling that he's fat. He WAS fat for a while, but he's lost at least 70 pounds or so. He's not even chubby anymore. He's not thin though... which is good.
This was an amazing performance. There was something different about this show from the first note. I feel lucky to have been a part of it. Its power from decades of inspired musical performance was encapsulated in this fantastic, moving show...
I know! I think I've watched it a dozen times today. He starts out by singing "I will remember this night...." Do you think the night REALLY was as wonderful for him as it was the fans??? Gawd - take me back in time just 48 hours ago!!!!
Oh yeah!!! I was there, the band was awesome!! This was a fabulous version of Faith! One Hundred Years was really great too! Oh, and Freak Show sounded really really good, I love it live.. all of it was great, I had a wonderful time!! :-)
OMG, i must cry.... the lyrics are very sad....and Robert too....

I love when lyrics change. It means hes connecting emotionally with his music. As he grows, his lyrics grow.

This comment has received too many negative votes show
I always found this extended live version of Faith indulgent and a little boring.

ROBERT IS HOT. PERIOD.
But this is not about RSX's looks; it's about the INESCAPABLE BRILLIANCE OF THE CURE.

Ha ha... I like that last line- nothing left but Cure. That's clever! By the way, are you a big fan of Simon Gallup's band before he joined The Cure?
