I have heard many versions of this song and all of them show a profound respect for what the song says. Maria manges to say exactly the same word and hit the same notes but has a rcihness that even the most famous can not match. Feeling flows from her singing. I so wish I had been in the audience. This artist is needed in music today.
WOW...the two people who were there to actually hear her sing clapped at the end. Why bother going to a musical performance when not interested in hearing those on stage?
Great stuff...... pity about the lack of respect.

The background people you hear are a great analogy for this song. The lineman hears you singing...even over the voices of the many. Great version...

What a wonderful version of one of my favourite tunes. But I wish the people in the background could have stopped talking and actually LISTENED!

@nebrpo Totally agree! How could you NOT stop everything and listen? It's beautiful.

Cool song. Maria does a great job. I love her music. I've been a fan for years.

I absolutely love this, floored by this interpetation... just takes my breath away. It's so true to the guts of the song.

Is this for real? Meaning, where and when was this recorded? It sounds like she's singing in a Holiday Inn lounge at a dullards convention.

@northernmuse9 Yes, it's for real. It was the B-side to, I think, "I Can't Make It Alone". The quirky recording is just classic Maria.
