Even the smallest stellar sized black holes have several times the mass of the sun, if one were that close, the planets would cease to orbit the sun as usual, and would probably follow the superior gravitation field of the black hole instead. The sun itself would likely do the same. You don't 'prepare' for a black hole getting that close, if one does, we're dead. The last place you'd want to be is in one of those 22000 abandoned mines. Earthquake activity would bury you alive.

Yes it is impossible, if only on the basic level that we circle the sun every 365 days so inevitably we would keep passing through this "plasma ray" every year and not just all the sudden one specific year at one specific time. Secondly if the black hole is powerful enough to yank plasma from our sun which has an enormous gravity holding that plasma on there, then this black hole would have long ago yanked our atmosphere and probably even consumed our entire planet and solar system.
