I had a chromatic harmonica from the time I was 8. It got lost in a move at some point. So now - I know it's been at least 35 years, I just bought one and I'm ready to play it again. Looking up on You Tube, I saw this, and this is great inspiration for me - you may see me on You Tube before long attempting a solo! Thanks for the great music!
Sorry, here I am again, I just discovered your channel and I am listening to all your videos, man what a talent you have, I enjoy the most of your songs you are playing, thanks very much.
This song sounds great, played very well.I am practising on my Suzuki chromatic 64 notes. I have to learn a lot. Therefor I can't post a video at this moment on YouTube. Please let me know what kind of Harmonica, is it Hohner, how many notes, and what Key, you are playing. Thanks a lot.
Hi, Dave! I forgot to give you my STARS. Till this moment you have 4 stars. Why 4 ? All in YOUTUBE is very good worked, exception the RATINGS. Music is pure art, not competition, not "FORMULA 1". When somebody wants congratulate another person with STARS, I think the CORRECT is put them here, inside the comment (it's honest, pure, sincere). And so? ... I give you FIVE STARS. Why not? Great playing on a very beautiful song. ATÉ LOGO! From BraSil, Marcelo Batista.
Congratulations, great Dave. I didn't know this song (excuse me), but...sincerely... it was very very beautiful; it touched my feelings, my heart (this is much important to me). When you go to sharp notes, it became more than a dream. Your playing was too much wonderful in this style. I will return here always to listen your playing on this so beautiful song. Bye for now (ah! I learned this expression with you). Excuse me my bad english. In portuguese is: Até logo! In spanish: Hasta luego!
We came here to appreciate the beautiful music in chromatic harmonica from our far away friend! Congratulations! We will recommend it to our friends here in Brazil! You play kromatic with great joy and happiness that is what our planet is needing! We, surely, will ever come here.
nice tune! I like the throat vibrato you do, I need to learn how to do that. I knew the tune, there's a french version of it, just like many of the hits at that time, it was the norm to just put french lyrics on a top hit music and have a french young singer sing it.

Hi. I'm playing a 14 hole Suzuki SC56
model. Really like this one. Some of this
music I have from various books and
sheet music lying around. This song I
have was actually given to me by a neighbor of mine. So this one I have no
idea where he got it.
Thanks for listening,
Dave

Thank you for that comment. I'm very glad to
hear that you're ready to re-discover the
chromatic harmonica again. Once you begin
playing and clear away the rust, you'll do
fine. Like riding a bike, sort of. I'll look
forward to hearing you in the future.

I used to play this one on the accordio. Sounds great Dave. Who did this song originally?
albertaviking 3 years ago
Wasn't sure myself so I looked it up. It was
originally done in 1967 by a group called
"The Turtles." Apparently it was their only
big hit knocking off The Beatles song "Penny
Lane" that year. Glad you asked. Now we both
know. Thanks for the positive comment on it as
well

Thanks for the kind words. Actually it's not
as difficult as it may seem. It's one of those
kind of songs that for me just seems to have
that flow to it. Makes it easier to get
creative and get a nice sound happening. I
would say you should definitely be able to
play this song.

Hi Marcelo,
I thought about what you wrote.
You are absolutely right, music is pure art,not competition, everyone can make music his own way, with or without variations etc.
