Is the NYHC scene really like this? I live in SoCal, and over here, old-school HxC and modern HxC are way different. The modern scene do breakdowns, hardcore dance, and dress with hoodies, caps, and Nikes. However, the old-school scene still keeps the old-school ethics, like pitting, fast chords, and mostly dress like punks. Both scenes seem to dislike each other also. Is the scene in NY kinda like this too or is it more unified? Hopefully someone can give me insight on this.
