Regardless, luckily when I taught my wife to shoot it was at an indoor range and there wasn't any room for her to point her handgun in a different direction. Maybe if I had filmed her you wouldn't have gotten your panties in a bunch. Her posture certainly wasn't perfect, like this woman. @davic14 Yes, yes you would go to federal prison for illegally modifying a firearm in a way that allowed it to fire automatically. A couple of years ago a guy was sentenced to about 5 years (can't remember the exact figure) because he lent someone a semi-auto AR-15 that was so old and heavily used it started malfunctioning and shooting bursts. That wasn't even an intentional modification. If you make an automatic weapon out of a semi auto firearm and get caught they will throw the book at you.

Plus if you're on private property the police would need a warrant to check it, which they wouldnt get unless you killed some 1.

Furthermore, I believe individuals should have the opportunity to own small automatic arms if they meet the legal requirements to own other types of firearms.
