@lauredean100 Never too late to know the greatest contemporary poet from the U.S. :-)) Thank you friend Lauredean for your always important presence in my videos, a embrace of the poet!
I always knew I was going to be a writer. Not a great one, maybe not even a good one, but I was going to do it anyway. I liked the thought of it. I liked the idea of having nothing pressing but those long nights slaving over a typewriter.
Very interesting story in your video from life if Charles Bukowski, sounds like he was o Polish or European roots...Thank you my dear poet...Zuzanna
@Susanna129 Charles Bukowski was born in Germany, his mother was German and his American father, he moved for the U.S. when he was a boy. Jean-Paul Sartre considered the greatest poet American contemporary, and me too! :-)) Kisses of the poet!
I liked the image of being wheeled out at bohemian parties and plied with drink and drugs to help loosen my wit. I liked the idea of travelling round the world on someone else’s expense account to find creative inspiration for another bestseller. So, I let my imagination run riot not only on the page but in my life and I committed to being a writer.

CHARLES BUKOWSKI do livro: O amor é um cão dos diabos
“The nine-to-five is one of the greatest atrocities sprung upon mankind. You give your life away to a function that doesn’t interest you. This situation so repelled me that I was driven to drink, starvation, and mad females, simply as an alternative.”
