  • omg faill :-O challenger down hard!!!!!

  • Lol the translater trying to match their tone makes me orz

  • GIMME MORE KWRABBBS!!!

  • They should have sumo wrestlers more often. He doesn't dick around, precise and to the point, yet so polite. And for god sakes give him bigger portions.

  • Go Chen!!

  • I have to say the smile on the challengers face makes me want to visit his resturaunt. yes, he might have stumbeled with the main ingredent but in his own kitchen I'd bet his food is marvelous :)

  • Chen is a bad ass, one time he had this about 2 feet diameter wok pan full of some sauce and he threw it in the air flipping the whole god damn sauce! Not one drop of the sauce went to floor

  • The sumo is quite articulate,.

  • 13 point difference in favor of Chen? That has to be the biggest gap I've ever seen on the show. But, it says something about Chen's abilities.

  • Chef Chen is such a gentleman.

  • That judge on the left is ridiculously high.

  • chua lam..

once i saw him on the panel i was like "oh crap, chen's in trouble." XD lam never seems to like chen's food =_= *mumbles*

  • Wow. Chen beat the crap out of the challenger.

  • Chua Lam=King Crab

  • Chen owned the challenger!

  • Haha, Mayuko Takata is so nice to everybody!

  • Who the hell is Chua Lam?

  • A Chinese gourmet.

    Very famous.

He directed and produced many cooking shows, usually having many Chinese models traveling around the world and eating different foods with him.

    He's very popular and rich.

He's also a great chef and gourmet as well.

His critisisms are not easily handled by people who find him "offensive".

  • So, he's the Chinese version of Simon Cowell?

  • chua lam is such an asshole. i can't stand that dickhead.

that one dish from chen looked like a fresh scalp put on a plate.

  • He's always hard on Chen. He's from Hong Kong, so he's used to Cantonese cuisine, not Szechuan.

  • jeez, they're really socking it to the challenger

  • Both the challenger and the iron chef struggled with this ingredient. It's pretty amazing how sometimes going back to basics like with Chen's cawan mushi which is so ordinarily plain (even for iron chef's standards, it's pretty ordinary) it is overlooked can sometimes be the best way to prepare food.

It was a deserved victory for Chen, however i feel that this was a very tough ingredient to prepare for both sides, and Chen won with the upper hand of having experience in the kitchen.

  • Takata's scoring: 20 to 19, Iron chef?

How could she give a tiny margin like that to that disqualified challenger?

  • it's called politeness.

it's part of the eastern culture and you may find hard to get.

rather than saying chen is great and challenger is crap, she states chen is "better" than the challenger.

  • If a judge gives many more points than a chef actually deserves just to be nice to the person, s/he should be disqualified as a judge. Politeness wasn't the factor in this case most likely. if anything, it was pity or compassion.

By the way, you are wrong in implying that "politeness" may be hard to find in western culture.

You find it everywhere in the world.

  • chen san chilly crab + a bowl of nice fluffy warm rice.....

    mmmmm marvelous!!

  • Thank you archo for all your efforts!! I love Iron Chef!!

  • and your point being?

  • wow brutal reviews

  • Thanks for the upload. Chen won and I want to eat his last dish...yummy...hmmm...

  • Wow! I've never seen such a scathing review for a competitor or Iron chef in this series. Poor guys.

  • you need to see the asparagus challenge with morimoto - he got slammed for making smoked asparagus I think one lady made the nastiest face and said it tasted like a cigarette. haha

  • The scores really reflected the comments made. b^_^d

  • Thanks Archo! This show is great and I really appreciate your effort posting these episodes.

Has anyone else noticed that the voice over talent for the guest actress is always the same person? (Kim Forsythe)
