Arnold was smart in that most of the characters he played (of his good movies) were stoic and not emotional. Thus his inability to act actually fit the character and not detrimental to the film. He also had good people behind making them and directing them. The old Conan movie was alot better. Just the music, look and feel of the design was better than the remake.
They should have never called the new movie Conan the Barbarian. There are plenty of other titles to have called it. Give it a decade and it'll be thrown in the dust heap along with 1984's Conan the Destroyer, but people will still be reading the books and watching the 1982 masterpiece.

ok although this video is a little funny- whoever made the video is also a prick!!! I love the way you selected one of Jason's slim pixs. Why not use a promo shot of Jason portaying Khal Drogo or Ronan Dex? Jason may not have the overly, steroid induced muscles that Arnold had but, he's still a suitable selection for the role. If you've seen Game of Thrones, I'm sure you would have an improved opinion of Jason, both for his physical appearance & his acting credibility.

Now i agree that Schwarzenneger had a very successful life which would be difficult to replicate but judging on person by how he looked while he was younger? Since I was 12 years old Conan The Barbarian is my all-time favourite movie and I curse this new version! But seriously, I have read the books. They're classics. The 1982 Conan the Barbarian was also a classic, not a carbon copy of the book but it wasn't supposed to be. The new one is just another CGI mess. Give it a decade and it'll be thrown in the dust heap along with 1984's Conan the Destroyer, but people will still be reading the books and watching the 1982 masterpiece.

Having read original books I must say Conan is the beast. Howard always described him with the words "gigantic muscles", "brute strength" etc. Look at the barbarian class in Diablo2, now that should Conan look like. Momomomomoa is fail.

I have to reserve judgement out of pure hope, but I must say I'm scared $hitless about it. I feel like maybe they just asked Kevin Sorbo, and even he laughed at their script, and so they just dropped down even lower on the list. Very scary, but still I live in hope it's not going to be lame. That sword they've got is certainly lame. Why didn't they just go with Drasko Andjic? lol
