This is beautiful to see! I am a descendant of the Virginia Colony from the mid-1600's and I am anxious to go back and look around. My ancestors moved to the North Carolina region thereafter for over 300 years until the baby boomers vacated the southern culture.
I drove across that bridge MANY weekends for years, on my way home from college. It's hard to believe that I took something so beautiful for granted. Now that I'm in Oklahoma, I miss it more and more. I'm heading back to VA next week, I think I'll take that nice drive again. Thanks for reminding me!
I grew up right near there, and I'm surprised to see such familiar sights. halfway creek was literally 3 miles from my home. I live in WA State now. Thanks so much for the post!
