I've got a Prodigy HD2 soundcard hooked straight up to 2 KRK VXT6's. My soundcard has a headphone output but it doesn't silence the speakers. Can I use the 2626 by feeding the S/PDIF from the soundcard into the 2626 and fron the 2626 out to my monitors and switch between the headphones and monitors using the 2626?
I use A mpc 2000xl w/ 8 outs & I just downgraded from the digi 002R & I want to still track out beats 8 trks @ a time, will the midi on the breakout cable still allow me to do that? That cable is pretty short, they should've intalled the midi on the interface like the 610 instead of having it in breakout cable form......
what does it mean that it will work stand alone? like, you plug your mics into this, then adat it to a different interface, and plug the other interface into your recording computer for 16 channels?
rebbini !! - it's been 8 months since your last comment but eh.. you sure you are using m-powered pro tools?? - coz if you are not then LE is only picking up the inputs from your mbox!... you need m powered.. prob not, but it was the first thing that came to my head lol
Hello, I have a problem with my interface profire2626, the sound pauses suddenly, and no longer it sounds nothing, that can be, I ask if it can be the controladora card that is not 1394ª, but is only 1394 without the letter (a), I am thankful for its aid, that another one can be.
I am definitely buying a Profire 2626, they seem really incredible. However, I have experience in only the most basic aspect of recording and seriously need to learn more. I don't understand half of what is said about this, and I know it has cool features which I just don't understand and wouldn't know how to use. Any ideas where I can go to learn more? Is there a website or book which is particularly good?
i just bought two of these things and ive got to say they are really cool. Unfortunatelly i am retarted when it comes to interfaces as complex as these (ive always had an mbox2 mini haha) in protools i cant seem to figure out how to get all 8 as different track inputs. It only shows two mono tracks. Is there some sort of routing that i have to adjust to get the inputs separated. Im trying to record drums so i need all the different mics separated in pt so that i can add diff eq and compresrs etc
the word Clock BNC cable does not carry audio signal if that what you mean, However you can achieve this using the M-Audio Octane via LitePipe. Makes sense?
it doesn't come with protools but it is compatible with protools M-Powered. Keep in mind that using 196Hhz sampling rate is somehow still a not very realistic proposition in the real world but it tells you one thing, 196khz converters are very good quality converters even at 24/96.

i'm sure you found a solution by now, but have you made sure all your inputs are active? because i think by default pro tools only activates 1 and 2

I really like this product, and Am very much considering buying it.
I've read into it a bit, It offers 192kHz sampling, correct?
However, The software that comes with it (ProTools M-Powered) only allows for 96kHz, is this correct?
Is there any software that is compatible with the ProFire2626 that allows it to sample at the maximum rate (192kHz)?
Thanks =)
