  • Lick my love pump

  • usual soul-less guitar wankery from wankmsteen

  • His acoustic playing is atrocious, he uses a pick on nylon strings. Does not sound good at all

  • i love reverb!

  • same shit everytime!! he can do nothing on acoustic guitar because he relies on sound effects!! an average asshole player. and his hair is in bits!

  • @vinnothelizard haha, he uses very few effects actually...sure in this video there is a ton of reverb, but other than that he only uses like 2 effects during entire performances and if your'e being serious you've got to be an absolute moron. Average???lolololol

  • @vinnothelizard lol he can play an accoustic... just watch black star live and you'll see (i think hes playing on a classical guitar), and he can do more than you can ever dream of.

  • @vinnothelizard youve never heard him play acoustic have you? he kicks ass

  • more reverb please

  • fucking reverb

  • this is an interpretation of Bach - - GAY AS ALWAYS

  • if any of you are still upset about his version of air on G , you are a purist and I can appreciate that.

as for myself , I feel glad he told us all to shut the hell up and accept his version.

when yngwie commands that you listen to his version , you better do it and not say anything.

  • if ozzy is the father of metal , that makes you the father of neo classical metal mr.malmstein.

    at least in my mind.

( if anyone says the tittle belongs to randy rhoads that would be an error since malmstein is much older )

not to mention I'm damn happy malmstein is still alive and not taken from us.

  • trying my best at sweedish humor for you yngwie , the closest I can get for you right now is maybe akkadian humor which is very simular.

I'm lauging at how many still don't know your greatness and your raw ability.

I will flogg them all for you gently untill they know you are for lack of better term "daddy"

  • if any of you do not realise how important mr.malmstein is to the neo-classical equation and everything else , you should just stop right there and realise he is the father of it and that he is the elder , he was born before the rest of us , litteraly. he's older than satch.

my advice is try the rising force tape. ( slowest opening sections only , minor shape bar chord sweep )

we all seem to be unhappy with his air on G , but we are over it.

    we loves you lots Yngwie

  • Mr.Malmstein , I love you alot , you are my favorite sweedish meatball and I mean that from the heart.

how are you doing , I've been over in study on the osbournes , not a day goes by that I don't think about you and wonder if you're ok.

I'm very close now to being able to tell you everything.

I don't think many understand how important you are to everything.

you changed everything for me and I owe you big.

you just wouldn't believe how much I need to talk to you.

  • Stop complaining about the damn reverb, guys! It gives him a whole other kind of sound: the one that he wants. Why to hell would he turn it down?

  • @KingOfShadows1500 I dont really want to keep this whole reverb thing going, but the reason why he should turn it down is because his sound is completely saturated and you can't hear his tone or the notes as well as you should.

It is too much reverb, but on that note there is no need writing the same comment over and over again people, geez its been said so let it go. I dont get why people write the same comments down the entire page, theres no point.

  • @JoeyRec The thing is, he doesn't want the kind of sound in which you can hear the tone and everything, he wants to sound like he was playing in a huge hall or something and there is no one sound better than the other. It's all about what feeling you want to transmit to your auditors and I think this is the feeling he wanted to transmit to us.

  • @KingOfShadows1500 thats completely an opinion and not a fact

  • @blah347 Well, the sound you chose to use is based on your personal opinion, not on a fact.

  • @KingOfShadows1500 intentional fallacy is a fact

  • @blah347 Hmm... Since English is not my first language and I didn't know what ''fallacy'' means, I went check that word out on google. Here's what I found:

A mistaken belief, esp. one based on unsound argument.

A failure in reasoning that renders an argument invalid.

So you're telling me my argument is invalid? Wtf dude, I'm telling you guitar sound is about personal opinion, how the fuck is that an invalid argument?

  • @KingOfShadows1500 well thats what fallacy means but you forget intentional.. as in its false to believe whatever YOU interpret from an artist was his intentions but enough said

  • @blah347 Well, it WAS his damn intentions, otherwise he wouldn't have put the reverb on... duuuh!

  • This should be called "Yngwie Malmsteen does reverb."

  • i bet you paul gilbert could play this

  • ahhhh...Bach

  • @SolidGold1980 m a s h

  • sounds like he's playing inside a conch shell

  • yngwie buy a plasma tv

  • Да обосрался

  • think i heard about 3 notes in all that echo delay reverb crap,

  • Turn down the fucking reverb!!

  • misleading title is misleading...

  • /watch?v=wyOf_L4cNHc for all those that want to hear the actual notes, or know the piece's title. piano concerto 7 in g minor

  • @yumeybaconcutout

Thank you very much. Lot easier to tab out! XD

  • does anyone know what he's playing specifically?

  • Awesome!

  • when a classical piece is transcribed for electric guitar, the classical pieces loses too much nuance or maybe it's the way the guitarist is playing.

  • @dalecampbl4 that's mainly because it's a different instrument and quality of tone. Electric guitar makes it more difficult to play nuances mostly found on violin. that and the fact that Yngwie is playing this a lot faster than the original, so he substitutes his own nuances, mainly in the form of grace notes. personally, I think he does a good job of preserving the character of this piece while adding his own spin on it

  • This title was very misleading.

  • Can't wait to see the real god of Neo Classical and all guitar on Jan 27...ULI

  • I wish he wouldn't bury his tone under a mountain of reverb. His technique is so damn good it's completely unnecessary.

  • @JasonElGato i have the original in dv, it doesn´t sound like that with echo, i think the guy taht uploaded this touched it a bit

  • @JasonElGato Even if it's unnecessary, I love it. It fits together so well in my mind.

  • @JasonElGato

Everything gets better with reverb. Even Yngwie sounds better with reverb than without it.

  • @JasonElGato He likes the live sound

  • @JasonElGato couldnt agree more.....well said

  • Thats Beautiful

  • sounds like he's playing it in a castle dungeon. Cat must have walked across the reverb knob.

  • ferarri symbol in the back? now your just showing off

  • lay off the reverb dudeeee haha

  • sure he's skilled but its nothig but mess :\

  • @Gumbas23 just because you lack the capacity to understand it, does not mean that it's "mess"!

  • @gidawg :D Funny Ive been playing guitar for more than 10 years, but I prefer music that actualy has a melody that makes you tap your leg or head, like Knopfler of Gilmour or else... This is just masive reverb and mess nothing else my friend youll be able to do it in like 2 months cos, it doesnt metter if you make a mistake cos the audiance cant hear it in the middle of that noise :D :D

  • @Gumbas23 Just because you prefer other musical styles does not mean that everything else is mess. And you do realize he is playing Bach, right? You can't hear melody in this piece? What you can't hear is your idea of what you believe a Knopfler or Gilmour melody is. Don't compare music, enjoy it or don't enjoy it. "Tap your leg" or don't. If this piece doesn't do anything for you, then politely move on.

  • @gidawg Moving on :D ....

  • @gidawg So Bach's music is a mess? 10 years of playing obviously hasn't been enough time.

  • @StanleyKu You realize I'm not the one saying Bach's music is a mess. Read the comments.

  • @gidawg Yes I know, I was talking to you about that guy you were arguing with. They hate his playing, but somehow always take the time to look him up.

  • @StanleyKu Oh, ok. Yeah, that's funny. I'm so sick of all the "he doesn't play with feeling" comments. If they took the time to learn music and actually listen they would discover that it's not all "mess" It's not that difficult to understand if you take the time to study music. I don't know a whole lot of theory, but I can still figure out what's going on in most of these pieces. Some people are happy with nothing but 1, 4, 5, so what can you do.

  • @gidawg Well I for one know what he's doing and I appreciate it. But it's not hard to comprehend why some would say it's not the most enjoyable thing to listen to :P

  • He's not a human......

  • @bnms123722 endless hrs of proper exercises. he astounds me.

  • Reverb sounds like a proper concert hall. A massive one. Sounds realistic too.

  • toooo muchh reverb

  • Yea fuck!!!! Yngwie is so badass!!!

  • Shit i like the reverb....

  • I used to love yngwie but now he sounds like he's burried in reverb and delay... For my shredding needs I go to John Petrucci all the way

  • @GH51505150 jari maenpaa is awesome too !! his style of solo is epic

  • @GH51505150 For sure. Everything sounds muddy and mushed together. No amount of virtuosity can come through if you can't hear the notes through the effects.

  • reverb = 10.000.000

  • Seeing this makes me want to just get out there and play!

But my mum says I've got to stay in and tidy my room.

  • Ferrari in there

  • I love the look on his face at the end.

  • @Farfa15

Dude, it is the other way around.

  • Awesome job Yngwie

  • MALMSTEEN le top en guitare

  • Comment removed

  • @MetallicatesJustice Im guessing youre a 5th grader

  • monumental technique.....

  • Stratovarius - Will the sun rise....Timo Tolkki already played it :)

  • заебали со своей : "no soul", лузеры всегда твердят(пиздят) одно и тоже.

to haters : just shut up and crawl back to the hole you've spawned. losers just yelling over and over again about "soul". FUCK YOURSELF AND YOUR FUCKING SOUL MORONS

  • what the name of the piece??

  • @nine9live5 It's call 'Twist again' by Chubby Checker

  • @nine9live5 bach bwv 1041 paraphrase

  • that phrasing sounds like shit

  • His guitar always sounds so hollow, watered down. He's a technical player but lacks soul. Who cares if he can play fast, there are far more interesting players.

  • @all4Hisgloryalone Why can't you people cut the crap with: " He lacks soul", Why are you here commeting, go on and listen to something else. Am I tired of seeing these kind of comments on youtube, This is YNGWIE, you like it or you don't.

  • @iMihaiCiprian So let me get this straight. U are the thought police. U can comment but when others have opinions different they need 2 go somewhere else? Grow up.

  • Way too much Reverb

  • yngwie malmsteen...: he might be the biggest diva/douche/jerk in the world, but DAMN he can play!!! :D

  • Amazing! WOW!!!

  • The computer screen in the back is flashing in orgasmic movement just by hearing Malmsteen play

  • @RaterisimoCB it must be screaming omg everything the line goes up

  • @RaterisimoCBA it's called refresh rate of the monitor and camera are different -.-

  • @Smubbs It´s called IT WAS A JOKE and you seem to be the only one that didn´t understand it -.-

  • @Smubbs I really hate people who start statements with "its called" when they didn't misname an item If he were to say a horse were a donkeythis would be ok but adding its called to that doesn't even make sense

  • @RaterisimoCBA bwahaha that was soo funny

  • Yngwie...its Todd Ritter whats up????? Dyane Destefano is my ExGirl friend!!!! Rermember me!!! 561` 503 1795

  • you can discuss who's the best player all day long, but nobody beats yngwie's epic SOLO FACE

  • @JahBabylon82 sorry i can debate that as well look up steve vai he looks like hes cuming with every note :P

  • How....guitar center of him :)

  • what is the name of this composotion i wanna learn it

  • @jarekuXhide bach concerto in a minor. lol when i first heard it i was like....this is amazing i HAVE learn it!!!

  • he has so much style it's scary..

  • it is vivaldi concerto in a minor

  • I thought this was a porno

  • which composition is this?

  • The piece is Violin Concerto in A minor (1st movement)

    Bach is master u_u

  • @Gespino123 thanks

  • Love his face at the end. :-o

  • Malmsteen > Batch! and can not be Malmsteen = Batch!

  • HOLY REVERB!!!!!

  • No No No Bach does Malmsteen

  • sooo much reverb

  • "metalheads are stupid and talentle... wait! is that Bach?! 0_0"

  • @HumpDeBump100

it started out as bach, then yngwie went and crapped it up into something else.

  • his distortion suonds like a violin

  • It isn't too hard but it requiers lots of practice...and when I say "lots of practice" I really mean it :)).......I practice kinda 6 hours a day and I think it isn't enough :|....each day I learn new things and it seems that it becomes more fun :D.....

  • @burninglord666 and as soon as you hit a rut it blows

  • Don't worry man i love the violin version its far better i have to say. I listen to a lot of classical cause i study it at uni lol. I love Flamenco Paco De Lucia is amazin and i love his stuff with Al Di Meola. Caprice 24 on guitar is another great one.

  • Ok I see your point. But you should listen to BOTH versions. The traditional one is very emotional and slower and more hard hitting. I think you'll like it. Also you should listen to some classical guitarists too!

  • man they are two different styles you can't really compare them. And when i mean one of the greatest i'm talking electric guitar. This man has influenced nearly every metal guitarist in the world, he even influenced Paul Gilbert who in my opinion is a better guitarist/ musician. But to say malmsteen hasn't got feelin or isn't a musician isn't right he has composed full orchestral pieces which are pretty good man.

  • STOP PLAYING CLASSICAL MUSIC AND GIVING THE CLASSICAL GUITAR A BAD NAME. Guys, if you want to hear the right phrasing, emotion and touch for this piece please listen to a nylon string classical guitarist or violinist. It is a very beautiful piece but you can't hear it under this weird phrasing and distortion and bending. It's really pretty :) But not like this....

  • @MikeyIV i think its an amazing piece either way

  • @azz75sl have you heard it on classical guitar or violin? Its retarded how he plays this piece. He probably learned it, got it up to speed and thats it. No phrasing, emotion tone changes, nothing. Slap on some distortion to cover the mistakes and some bending to make it even worse. Bach was too much of a genius to have his music shat on like this....

  • @MikeyIV yes i have... i agree that the classical sound is better.... but i love neo-classical as well.... especially if its yngwie playing

  • Comment removed

  • Wow, you're retarded. This is incredible. He's making it his own style and paying respect to a great musician. Until you can play that. You're opinion doesn't matter to him or any of his fans. So just please, Get the fuck out.

    Ps. Spot out one mistake

  • @bobtheatog Damn is this a joke? He completely ruined a brilliant piece of music with distortion, tone, phrasing. Also he made it faster unnecessarily because YOU GUYS think that its cool. He doesn't realize that everybody can go that fast and hes just ruining a very sad, somber piece of music. I'm just wasting my time, you will probably never learn.

But this is a very pretty performance. And perhaps you will see what I mean.

    watch?v=AwXDRMNhsUk

If you don't then you are not a musician...

  • @MikeyIV I'm into all genres of music, Deathmetal to Classical. And i find it brilliant that someone could even play this on the guitar. I'm a musician myself and if you had atleast a tiny respect for guitarists you would understand that even though he's a cocky nutfuck, Malmsteen is truley and amazing guitarist.

  • @bobtheatog you are a very generous fan, and so is the entire metal community. EVERYONE has technical skills. But it is the nuances that make a musician great. It is very sad that a lot of metal guitarists don't understand this and accept the lowest common denominator. You deserve more than this shit. I am a classical guitarist and can play metal too. And I can see the difference between a good guitar player and a good musician.

  • @MikeyIV

Man you do know you are slaggin one of the greatest guitarists of all time? :o

  • @ChrisR167 it is very sad that you think he is one of the greatest guitarists of all time. Most known classical guitarists on the face of this earth have more technique than him because classical guitar is more difficult. They also have more feeling and phrasing. But that is not the point.

I really do like metal. But this is embarrassing for a billion reasons. Just listen to a more appropriate version and educate yourself. Malmsteen is a guitarist. He's not a musician though.

  • lol Lamborghini sound setup.

  • 1 word AWSOME!!!

    *----*

  • Great, but with a boring-reverb-excess!!

  • concerto in a minor, but a little bit modify

  • Man! the guy must really love reverb :)

  • What's with the reverb? He never plays with that much reverb......it sounds like whale calls from 20 nautical miles away....

  • he can't be serious with the reverb, cmon yngwie...

  • He's not doing Bach...he's doing yer mom x)

  • I just drowned in reverb.

  • less is more

  • FUCK i quit

  • The first song I ever sat to hear in my life was Bach´s Toccata & Fugue in D minor when I was 8 years old ... I´m 24 now and have the chance to hear and watch the maestro Yngwie play Bach , I try to do so as well, Bach was a music god and Malmsteen paid the best tribute ever re-inventing the classical style.

  • Kingwie Malmsteen

  • @crazyboyxx Agreed. There's clearly not enough reverb. I could still hear some of the notes separately.

  • Yngwie's glassy tone and expressive touch and subtle dynamics are what have always impressed me the most...and his stunning vibrato, bends, and intonation. The dude is my original guitar hero and biggest "guitar" influence in almost 30 years.

  • thats just sick makes me wanna quit playing

  • @lager626 Shouldn't watching this just make people want to play more? I mean, I look at this and go "Holy shit, imagine if I could play like this O__O" lol

  • @Kizales haha sadly i always see it the other way around.. "Holy shit!, i'll never play like this... =(" haha lol

  • @Kizales Yeah everytime i watch this guy, it just makes me want to play so much!!!

  • @crazyboyxx Agreed. He should stack on another five reverb pedals.

  • Demuestra su gran calidad como guitarrista, pero estas obras pierden mucho al ser tocadas en guitarra, incluso podria decir que suenan mal, por lo menos los temas casi perfeccionistas de bach.

  • I noticed that Yngwie wraps his thumb completely around the fretboard when he plays, almost far enough to play bass notes with his thumb. Is there a technical reason why he does this?

  • @projectgoatse Playing is more comfortable this way. Learning is easier. I guess he simply never found the need to learn the "new" technique which would be pressing your thumb against the fretboard on the backside

  • Nice.

  • I LIKE YOUR VOICE AND YOUR MUSIC

  • Malmsteen Rising Force, Bahc 4 ever

  • This Vid Needs more "CAWBELL"

    like it needs more REVERB

  • He needs more reverb!
