Sorry for the late response... Sethpettman - FDII has low gearing, FDI has this "Lock" mode that is barely truly locked. My experience in deep snow or uneven grounds, wheels could get locked up and all you get is spinning tires that don't really have traction. It is a far cry from locking diffs or limited slip... but it still works in many light offroad duties, but be prepared for busy wheel spins over moguls and deep ruts...
Ubrapapa, if you go offroad I think its advisable to have ESP OFF
Last winter I made a test in deep snow with ESP on and the whole system crashed, I was stuck. When a wheel lost traction the ESP locked the wheel, and when the next wheels lost traction the ESP locked that wheel etc.. until all the wheels were locked. This 4x4 system only works on the road not off.

this jeep has freedom drive one you say? i thought only freedom drive2 had the antilock brake diff thing??
