Vanilla ZG in the level 60 days was the ultimate chillax raid. Great laid back jungle atmosphere for casual drunken good times at 2 am for a good break from 40 man progression raids. RIPz0r.

@toxicitzi thats true the difficulty in cata is different then vanilla wow.... cata is harder then vanilla wow... I honestly dont know why all u guys want vanilla wow, the only justisification i can see is epics were actually epics.... besides that its nothing but do 2 raids over and over or do a billion alts... there was NO ENDGAME CONTENT... no factions, no dailies, etc, nothing to do but raid 2 instances or do a alt, ya thats fun... for a month, after that its boring as f**k.

But vanilla was worked on for years, its without a doubt the largest content WoW has ever had in an entire Expansion pack and because Cataclysm re used Vanilla content, imo, it should be known as the smallest an Expansion has yet to deliver in WoW..
Of course you say that now, 7 years after its original release, but the point still stands that because its so old and respected Vanilla is the most challenging and full of wonder expansion in WoW.
@Deadganon and keep this in mind too, just because something in the newer expansions looked new, didn't mean it was different from Vanilla, also even if it is new what matters is how fast it gets old, Vanilla never lost that edge..
What cataclysm and wotlk had different from vanilla was the fact that they made it more dumb for the retards who were never into RPGs to piss on a MMORPG Legend..

@Deadganon Before you continue with this bullshit, there was also PVP which had first of all, World PVP something no expansions have, WSG, AB, AV. I think those are more than enough to keep 1 character busy for entire months and if you got bored you'd play another class in PVPs and that would keep you busy for another 2 months.
I don't say 1 year pause was terrible, but seriously give it a rest now. There were 2 20 man raids after that and 4 40 man raids. Its a shame you missed those

I've only played like the last 8 months on privates for Vanilla content, either 12x exp, instant 60, .exp 1-8 or 24, blizzlike, they're all equally bad..
Blizzlike are always empty because people are impatient, instant 60 speaks for itself, anything higher then 1x is fail because the whole thing about it being 1x is the pure Vanilla challenge.

okay to all about leveling and shit i started this pointless when TBC just realesed and i got so fed up with the waitin for each level that i stoped a the 3.2 patch i think i was level 46...now i just got a new pc and started playing agein and in 2 weeks i am level 65. now i dont know if the quest helper or the dungeon system i do the whole time now but god its WAY easier now
@egan108 They made it much easier to lvl with the dungeon finder and they really incresed the damage a low lvl characters can do. Oh yeah and they reduced the amount of exp needed per lvl again so yeah it much easier.

today, EVERYONE is 80. It's nothing special anymore. Back then, when you saw a 60, you were in awe. Even more so if that guy even had just one set-item. Now, you scoff at people who don't have a full T7,5-set.

my god vanilla raids were so much better. this place had amazing scenery and it was so big and open that you actually felt like you were infiltrating the trolls kingdom. now you have things like VoA which are just pathetic. they didnt make a new model for archavon...thats just pathetic.
Vanilla raids sure were awesome and I think they required more skills compared to today. Who would ever think of pugging AQ40 before? I even tried to join a pug a while ago for AQ40. Overgeared and 20 lvls higher, you might think it wouldn't be a problem, but then we came to twins. Since just a few of us knew tacts, it was wipes after wipes, after wipes. What's good now is that they've reduced the amount of trash alot.

Zul'Gurub is a 20-man Old World level 60 raid instance.
Zul'Aman is a 10-man Burning Crusade level 70 raid instance.

blizzard should make a new world of warcraft with lvl cap 60 and some new armor and weps if you start off now it take's ways to long to get 80

yes, because it was so much easier to reach 60 back then... dude, they nerfed the content from 1 to 70, to the point where you can do it by yourself and the exp are even halfed, if you complain it takes too long to reach the maximum level then I disagree...
today, EVERYONE is 80. It's nothing special anymore. Back then, when you saw a 60, you were in awe. Even more so if that guy even had just one set-item. Now, you scoff at people who don't have a full T7,5-set.

agreed dude. you use to actually make friends back then. i went from lvl 19-60 with the same guy everyday. Playing as a group was just fun, and made things a bit easier. I was ret my bud was balance a good leveling combo i thought.
Now if you need help and ask, some dicks gotta say oh well i can solo that. Things just arent like they used to be.

@Nelogenazea they did what they did to appeal to the masses.The 'highlords' were fed with bonus content,such as the fight with illidan and kil'jaden,but also those lowlights(newbs) were given a chance to shine

my god vanilla raids were so much better. this place had amazing scenery and it was so big and open that you actually felt like you were infiltrating the trolls kingdom. now you have things like VoA which are just pathetic. they didnt make a new model for archavon...thats just pathetic.

Vanilla raids sure were awesome and I think they required more skills compared to today. Who would ever think of pugging AQ40 before? I even tried to join a pug a while ago for AQ40. Overgeared and 20 lvls higher, you might think it wouldn't be a problem, but then we came to twins. Since just a few of us knew tacts, it was wipes after wipes, after wipes. What's good now is that they've reduced the amount of trash alot.
