  • i was there

  • bolt, gay etc. should be embarressed that 46 yrs ago in tokyo and on a loose dirt track

(YES DIRT)bob hayes ran 8.5 on his anchor leg of the 4X100 and was in 6th place 3 yrds behind and flew by everybody to win by 3 yrds and again this was on dirt, these guys run on fast modern rubberized surfaces and still haven't hit that time yet

  • i ran there this year. im a freshman and i ran a 10.6 hopefully i can run in the main event someday

  • 45 km/h ? WOOW

  • 8.79 is fast but you are making it look more than what it is, since in a relay you don't have to build momentum the same way you do when you run 100m :)

  • @luigicamp69 ..errr no i dont think so. a split of 8.79 or 8.74 would make it one of the fastest relay legs ever ran. considering he was far from his best, that is mind blowing. powell ran an 8.74s leg in the WR relay and that was considered to be the fastest relay leg ever. mind you, bolt ran 8.95 on the bend of that same race. you'd have to think that bolt was run sub 8.6 if he ran in a straight line..THAT is amazing. a once in three generations talent.

  • @rcaddict72 all I said is that 8.79 sec in the title is deceiving. Bolt would never be able to run that time on regular 100m. All that said, I am not saying he isn't fast, on the contrary, he's amazing.

  • Love It...

  • the bugatti.......so pimptastic :)

  • 8.74.. to be correct

  • Such bad camera angle for a man as great as USAIN BOLT...

  • we all know who really won (smitty werbenjagermanjensen---he was #1)

  • @PhiyukYu loll spongebob i remember that from so long ago

  • Did you hear ivory williams say if he was in front of usain bolt,he dont think bolt would be able to pass him.ha ha ha i see he his smokeing that canabis again

  • godddddddddd DAMN THAT BOY IS FAST !

  • what day was this????

  • It was sold out!!! I'm getting my London 2012 ticket have to see him live!!

  • Jamaica team is the best in the world now. u.s.eats their DUST!

  • @fireball39279 Now you just jinxed them for saying that

  • @crsmith56 I don't think so. As long as Usain is in the team. The u.s. will not win the 4x100m Relays. The Jamaica team is just too strong for the u.s. Look at the distance between Usain and the u.s. runner at the end. Is already said it all.

  • @fireball39279 how the fuck do you dare to compare ivory williams with the beast called tyson gay???? with tyson in the anchor they would be able to beat the jamaicans, with or without bolt!!

  • @puljacina Take it easy! Everybody knows Usain is the best runner in the world. The world records are alreadly proved just that. The u.s. will not stand a chance to compete with Jamaica Relay team.

  • where i Mr Merrit ?

  • @avatar2222able hes still tryin to lengthen his dick lol

  • GAGNEZ DES MAILLOTS DE L EQUIPE DE FRANCE DEDICACES PAR ZINEDINE ZIDANE EN VOUS INSCRIVANT GRATUITEMENT SUR LE SITE BETOEVENT (tirage au sort)

  • wow he even walk 400m one more time

    total beast

  • @coabg LOL... My bad, I was paying too much attention to the actual event. ;-)

  • Next year get a video of some of the Nova teams especially in the Distance Medley Relay races.

  • @thes3xyb0y Done.

  • JA!

  • The man helped put 54K people in the seats, a Penn record, he is bringing track back after all the negative crap, the sport needs him, hopefully he can inspire young people to get into track, he's simply amazing.

  • whats a split

  • Comment removed

  • @superkid474 4 people are running, a split is the time for one individual's 100m time. (100m in this case because this is a 4x100)

  • I was there friday running the 4x800 hs small school. I wish i could've been there yesterday. BTW the food there was garbage.

  • yo i was there yesterday amazing yo .....jamaica da best my section sang the jamaican national anthem afterwords. it waz fun

  • He is Legend! :)

  • Does Chris Johnson of the Titans actuually think he has a snowballs chance in hell racing against Usain?

  • Cascade3891 your a stereotypical DUMBASS. Obviously his split was 8.79 seconds. Why would the officials lie about his time? You might wanna get your stuff straight before you post a comment like that. Other than that, Usain Bolt is a beast.

  • Cool Runnings!

  • Wow no words....thanks for posting.

  • ITS A JAMAICAN THING! MAD!

  • Was there in the nose bleed section...loved how the in field all ran to one side just to get close to him...unfortunately only pics, no autos or contact.

  • @Cascade3891

You are so lame and unoriginal with that "joke"if you knew anything about Jamaicans you would understand that WE RUN FROM NO ONE!!!not even the police.

  • this was an amazing race to watch live, so was the womens 4x100 because the crowd went nuts after that race, idk if anyone saw it but there was a massive american flag in the left hand corner after the womens race that took up at least two sections

  • @RSH60C That was awesome. I would say there was at least 100 people underneath that flag.

  • They need to xray Bolt to see if he has bionic legs! you go Bionic Bolt!

  • also this is not correct. the splits are recorded at the 100m mark to go. if he takes the baton after its 100m to go then smoe of his split is from the other athlete, if he takes it before, then he runs more than 100m but either way the clock starts when the baton gets to 100m to go...no matter who has it. if an athlete runs 100m flying, they'll actually run faster than a relay leg as they usually arent at top speed when they receive it.

  • Umm..Just one question.

If the world record the the 100m is 9.58, How did he run this 100m in 8.79?

  • because its a relay...the 100m is flat out (non-running start)...the relay is like a running start...

  • @rspking112 his split starts when he has the baton is in his hand, the exchange about 1 second or a little more so that shaved off a second off of his split time. technically he did not actually all out sprint the whole hundred meters. the exchange zone its self it ten meters.

  • @iMikaylaaax0 ..the exchange zone is 20m.

  • Franno a play politics with ASAFA. They claimed he has injury but I am not buyiny that. I think it got something to do with is Nike contract. He is running unattached.

  • I was there the hold stadium went crazy when bolt got on the track

  • franklin field is weird...why does the leadoff leg start so farr back!!??

  • Usain bolt he's a great track role model ,

  • jamaica best sprinter of all time go bolt go!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! big up yard.

  • i was there, crazy as hell, and tavaris tate of mississippi state is an UNREAL college runner

  • i just came

  • was there 2,,great relay,,good to say I saw him run,,bless up..

  • nergo is fast

  • how does he even get that fast? i guess just pure god given talent

  • I was there haha. Event 179 High School Boy's 4x4.

  • madd yo nobody cyan beat jamaica

  • why the fuck wasnt asafa running for the another jam. team?

  • @puljacina ....same thing I was wondering....it seems like he let his team mates down...would have been good to see Asafa in the race too! Anyway kudos to Bolt!

  • @sweetdiva27 yeah because safa was announced to run for the francis team so im pretty disappointed!!

  • damnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn thanx for posting @theseandon2

  • I was there. That race was chippin. Bolt ran a 8.97. but Tyson Gay didnt run. if he ran anchor I think USA woulda won. Boom...Jamaica!

  • @giants42champs I was there too. Great to see the sportsmanship of everyone there. Jamaicans cheering for the USA women when they beat jamica and Americans all cheering for the Jamaicans and Usain Bolt. Its ashame the sports media will never mention times like this in Philly, but have no problem going back to 30 yrs ago and snowballs at Santa Claus. Would have been nice to see Tyson in the race though.

  • @giants42champs naw man you wildin theres no chance that would happen.

  • @TheGervon Na there is a chance. There were two US runners on the relay from "B" team that replaced Tyson and somone else and they still only lost by a little. It would be close cuz asafa powell was replaced too.

  • @giants42champs they did not loose by a little that was atleast 2meters they lost by and thats bad, if tyson was there it would hav made a difference but USA still wouldnt win

  • @giants42champs not against Bolt..

  • @giants42champs jamaica is number one in world sprinting . go to sleep!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @caljon776 lol i was there yesterday and that was the only race jamaica won lolololol girls and boys... USA USA USA USA USA

  • @Wizechris1 i guess u wer'nt payin attention then, this was'nt the only race we won that day lol
