If you are bobbing, or bouncing you need more gear/resistance. What happens is when there is not enough resistance on the bike the pedals will start to push your legs around. This is true because if you were on an indoor exercise bike, your butt would start to bounce in the saddle without enough resistance. Try adding more to your bike and you will notice a big difference. Hope this helps!
The extra flywheel gives a Really tough work-out! Very realistic feel... The Rock-and-Roll Design is in my opinion worth the extra expense for avid cyclists, but takes time and some pain to correctly tune. Noise is more than tolerable. Steering table may shift whith large motion (turns) of the from wheel (I am still learning the gear). Overall, satisfied from day one!
this trainer is supposed to rock for people who want to stand up and sprint indoors... that is y this lets u rock the bike...how is this never mentioned!?
Great point. When I shot this video - the guy riding the bike had never been on the bike before. So - we were reluctant to have him get up and sprint as part of the demonstration.
That said - the rocking ability does allow for that.
kinetic makes mag trainers but i personally think thaqt fluid trainers feel nicer...ive had a KK before and i loved it..i sold it off like a fool though...ive had fluid's by cyclops and 2 of them leaked..so for me kurt kinetic is the best value and performing..
I've got one and also the rotating support under the front wheel ( runs on ball bearings ) I love it!! I also have the older basic KKinetic without the heavy flywheel. This is a bit noisier but its great!
i got one. i've had it a week. it doesn't rock. you could fall asleep on it and it just would not tilt. what it does do is bounce up and down slightly and after a while your lower back gets sore. it's as quite as most trainers. maybe i have to wear it in but at this stage i'm not happy.
Hmmm, they invented something that helps your riding form indoors a long time ago...it's called ROLLERS. Try the Kreitlers out silly! They're cheaper too.
The difference is that the kinetic trainer has fluid resistance and a flywheel, meaning it offers road-like resistance that carries momentum and increases when more force is exerted on the pedals. I don't think the same can be said about rollers.
actually I think the inside ride emotion is probably prety good but I think I would prefer somthing that doesnt wear my tread like the emotion seems to based on what Ive seen in video ...so this looks pretty cool ...however I have a question and that is does anyone know if a mountain bike with heay tread and forks will fit this system or any other???
Pretty hard trying to get high wattage on rollers if you are doing intervals, unless you get the new resistance type rollers which means you have to get off the bike and change the resistance.
Love it! Too bad it's so expensive.

I like how after the guy says "If you are rocking too much you have poor form", and the guy on the bike immediately straightens up

Trainer bobs too much up in down when you are heavy. Feels unstable at my 220lb. weight.
