I don't wish our left-back was B. A.-E. ! I wish it was Alan Hutton! a FAR SUPERIOR left back ( AND ALWAYS WILL BE ) treated really badly by Harry Redkrapp! Selling hims was an exceedingly bad mistake! Like always keeping faith with and always backing Gomes, or getting an over-the-hill past it American keeper in on a free, or selling one striker only to get another on loan so that at the end of the season we will still need to buy one, or selling Palacios who was one of our best mid-fielders....

Alan Hutton is a right back, not a left back and there is no way he's better than BAE in any shape or form. Also, there was no chance of him playing for Tottenham, Walker and Corluka are always going to be picked ahead of him.

Gomes is also now our 3rd choice keeper, Friedel has made some excellent saves and being 40, for a keeper, doesn't mean you're past it.

Also, Palacios was the 4th choice defensive midfielder behind Parker, Sandro and HUddlestone. He had to go.
