@lufthansa330pilot No, runways go from 1 to 36, you divide the heading by 10. Also, the heading is not always the exact heading. LAX has 4 parallel runways heading 249,1°/69,1° two are 7/25 and the other two are 6/24
@Mrmartinnico Sometimes if heavies with big wingspans...like the A-340 600 models or the A-380 only have the inboard engines deploy reverse thrust just in case if there is any FOD on the edge of the runway...so it doesn't injest into the engine...causing damage.
@zeo781 there are a few places on this side of the runway. just drive to find a good spot. you can even spot up close by the ocean side when they come in on 08L
Do Lufhthansa bring their A340 or A330 daily?

interesting how the 2 outer reverser's don't engage until the nose is down
necessaryevil101 9 months ago
These engines are so powerful that you can see the horizontal stabilizers fluctuate when in thrust reverse.
TWILLSmann 9 months ago
@TWILLSmann thats the wind...the reverser's wouldn't cause this lol

mustache3000ify 10 months ago
@mustache3000ify it's the runway number
delpillar 10 months ago
@mustache3000ify 08L is the runway number
delpillar 10 months ago
@mustache3000ify it means that the runway is facing 8 degrees
lufthansa330pilot 8 months ago

k0nn0r 8 months ago

k0nn0r 8 months ago
@mustache3000ify it means runway 8 Left. 8 is the heading.
yoyoyoyoshua 4 months ago
@mustache3000ify 08 is the runway number. and L means "left". so R means "right" and C means "center".
If there are two or three runways running parallel. the left one is for example 08L and mid one 08C and the right one 08R

why only 2 reverses first and then the other 2 ?
Mrmartinnico 11 months ago
@Mrmartinnico Cause of gently reversing throttles.
