THANK YOU for posting this....im guessing it's been about 20 years since i've seen this footage....im 29 now, and still remember watching this off of a OLD recorded VHS tape my dad had almost every day after coming home from elementary school
The segment in the movie where the band plays in the parade is the school I went to up through 1981. The guy in the band who waved at the camera is my brother. Everyone was told to act like there was no camera there.
What goes really great with this documentary is the 1971 Steve Mcqueen show "Junior Bonner". That's such a great Rodeo Movie, riding bulls for 17 years myself, I hafta admire the freedom of the old school cowboys. They didn't make as much as we have available, but were more free. Could sleep by the rivers, cost of living was reasonable, and not so many laws to restrict the freedom to compete for a living. Amazing men and women.
@psychedeligoat It was released as a documentary movie by Disney. It won the 73 Oscar for best documentary. it hasn't been released on dvd yet. its a vhs rip.

That kid at the end reminds me of myself just a few months ago when I started riding bareback horses haha.
