Dear Gawd, I'm glad I volunteered for the Corps instead of another branch! I often reflect on how "needlessly" grueling and demanding my whole career was, and how much easier I could have had it if I had joined the Army, Navy or Air Force. BUT THEN, I watch them all march together and it erases any doubt I ever could have had. If you can't even march together, you're not a team, and it takes TEAMWORK to win in combat. I'm alive today because I went to war with the Corps instead of w/anyone else.
