The Carrera GT`s technology is developed FROM a prototype car, not FOR a prototype car. It`s technology comes from the 1998 Porsche 911 GT1. That was a car competing in Le Mans in the GT classes. Now those GT classes are LMP classes(Le Mans Prototype) and the LMP classes in those days, now are GT classes.
