We have at least 1000 of them in the wild in Norway, but they're so elusive and shy towards humans that you need to be lucky to see one. I got once, one single time. I stood still, it stood still some 60 feet away, but when I just barely moved it shot off into the forest.: )
@Altaira55 A friend of mine had one lurking around just outside his tent. But the lynx wasn't stalking him of course, it was stalking sheep close to his camp site. : )
Sionnach1601's information is outdated; Lynx is no longer a recognized genus, but a subgenus of Felis, thus it is indeed Felis lynx, Felis rufus, Felis canadensis, and even Felis concolor (the puma, cougar, or mountain lion); most felids fall into either purring cats (the genus Felis) or roaring cats (the genus Panthera). The two other genera are Acinonyx (the cheetah) and Neofelis (the clouded leopard).
Lynx FTW!

Hey well done for putting this together. Lovely shots of an absolutely fantastic and beautiful animal.
Just one small criticism - the latin name of the Eurasian isn't "Felis lynx" it's "Lynx lynx"!!
Just like the Bobcat for example is "Lynx rufus" and the Canadian being "Lynx Canadensis" etc.
Hope that helps :)

I'd say the "strongest" is the dummy with his thumb stuck up his hole, thinking about stuff like this...
