Swtor is a great game. Graphics are stunning if u have the right specs in ur pc. Downside is it requires a lot to run properly. Good story tho. Pvp is entertaining. Raids are good. It's definitely worth buying. 100% guarantee
Hmm...I've been playing wow since 2005 (7years) and atm I'm taking a short break. however, i don't know if i should buy SW:ToR for the sake of trying (as of now there are no trials, right?)

@chingpongionglong If you play games for stories this game is defenitly for you. You level to 50 fairly quickly but you still have 2 and a half more chapters to go after that.
@chingpongionglong It is a little less complex than wow. This game holds your hand till you finish your story then you get the freedon to choose but as of yet not much endgame
just my thoughts, I think that Swtor players on my realm but maybe not on others are not as much trolls than in wow. That is something I very much like.

@NATHANinGAME yay but its annoying as hell when the first 12 hours of gameplay is murdering these weak ass things that could have been terminated by anyone if they took 5 freakin minutes to kill them. While in swtor, it makes sense when you get the rare kill quest.
i think we need to give SWTOR time to develop, when wow came out it wasnt the awesome game it is today. in a year or so, SWTOR will have got rid of most of the bugs, ballenced everything out and generaly made itself a better game. but for now i think ill play SWTOR for a while, then leave it for a while.

SWtOR being new isn't an excuse. It's been in development for 6 years before release and WoW ha been around for 7 years so in a few years depending on how long WoW was in development SWtOR should be as good as WoW is now. If not, WoW is obviously better. Right now though, they were stupid enough to not make the game for Mac and due to that they have been underselling.
@hardcoregamer84 nothing is wrong with macs, they are the best computers. What I was saying is that it was stupid not to make SWtOR for mac. They are underselling the planned amount due to mainly this reason.
@Alex942809 well that is a little late for them they have undersold, I may try it for a little while but still they should have started having the game for Mac, after all Mac sales have been increasing and PC sales decreasing and, just having it not for mac from the start was a stupid, stupid move.
Wow was a great mmo and imo maintained that status for a good 5 years. I enjoyed The Burning Crusade expansion the most however i do feel that its decline started with the merger of Activision and Vivendi Games creating Activision blizzard. Since the merger the quality of wow and difficulty has declined significantly and looks to continue this with the upcoming expansion Mists of Pandaria. It's very early into swtors release however i see the same promise and portential as early wow.
@DisruptiveMonkey It seams that with swtors solid release and upcoming Guild Wars 2 that wow will lose a lot of it's dominance however will most likely continue to hold it's position as top subscribed mmo and it's large profit margins until the release of Activision Blizzards next mmo project code named titan at which point wow will most likely go F2P imo.
I play Wow and have also played Swtor but Tbh swtor is good untill you hit 50 then oh boring very very boring and if people remember Wow used to have a sick Lore but more people have been getting 85 nowadays, they did try to create a new storyline with quests etc when cataclysm came out but if your an occasional player id roll Swtor if you prefer end game experiences i would defiantly roll Wow

i personally love the star wars pvp, they do require a bit more skill, while wow requires gear, the lvl's in star wars (being 1-50) all in pvp at the same time shows me that its not about lvl, rather skill, however wow has more teamwork, such as healers being required at ALL TIMES in pvp, unless u kill steal repeatly. wow has had 5 years (about) to hear from there players and improve, we must give star wars sometime to be able to compare, all i can say is for the first month, star wars is leadin
well heres my opinion of both since i play both. swtor had an amazing impact on me when i first starting playing it was like it had most of the stuff wow had but improved. training professions is easier and relaxing and questing is much more enjoyable. but for me my comp is a piece of crap so i constantly suffer lag in this game as for wow i do not lag at all. so in general probably swtor is the better but i havent capped yet either so ill see how it changes. thx for the vid btw
@jl53588 its because SWTOR has only been released recently so it may still have many lag and bugs where as WoW has been out for years so most of them problems will of been fixed
SWTOR excells in its absolutely magnificent storytelling. *full* voiceacting, gosh i love it. It just makes your charecter (?) more PERSONAL! You know, i play a Sith, and her heart litterally bleeds for all the innocent Republic i have killde. And then i got my smuggler, who is COMPLETELY ruthless, she only cares about money. My smuggler, migh be the most flippant person i have "met" in my entire life.

I tried playing SW but i cant really get into it. Just all the leveling and quests makes it feel like a single player game. I dont think it has what MMO's should have to make it feel like a MMO. Some people may like it but its not for me.
i played wow for 5 years stopped playin in october been playin swtor for about a week now n what i think is swtor has a very gd questin experience all the quests seem to have a reason behind it and is really in depth but there does seem to be quite a few bugs in the game that let it down a lot when i seem to cast a spell it doesnt land for about 0.3 seconds after its been cast which can be rlly annoying and kinda game breaking tbh if the bugs were sorted i recon it be better than wow
Given that WoW is 7 years old, it still looks amazing even compared to this modern age MMO, though they cant TRULY be compared because 1 is Sci-Fi the other Fantasy. WoW is still a beautiful game, props to blizz they did an amazing job and still continue to. But to each their own why people feel the need to take sides is beyond me. Theyve probably both got their own Pro's and Con's that different people will be catered for. Good Review, cheers Big C :)
@Bra1ncrack3r I'd have to agree with you there. Both have their own benefits although swtor seems to lack in endgame for what it makes up in the levelling experience. I'm more of a one character guy, so the thought of having to make a new character for a new experience is a little...troubling. I'd rather they give more to do post-50 :(
Has a high rated PvP player in WoW, 2600+ most season. Blizzard willing not nerf batting shamans like they LOVE. I Swtor is way better in that way. The fact that you only fight player on you're server. giving it a more real feel, the combat is far more fluid then in WoW PvP Swtor Wins. PvE side I never got into heavy in WoW because when you mod the game it tells you what you have to do and when to do it. Swtor you're not allow to mod. Which is amazing. Last thing you're a powertech get up close.
Even the Swtor PVP is better than WoW cuz its more balanced!!!! AND THE ADDONS ARE FREE FOR SWTOR :D GO AND PAY LIKE 20$ FOR KUNG FU PANDA MIST OF PANDARIA :D :D :D EPIC FAIL!!! seriously ive been a WoW Fan since Vanilla but its getting old. @xAravin25x swtor pvp is balanced? its a stunlock fest with 5 sec aoe stuns...I'm sorry but the pvp couldn't be more BROKEN than it already is. For a guy who played wow since vanilla, you seem to have some pretty low expectations...there's absolutely no balance between actual 'pvp' and capping bases.
Quite a nice video. But you forgot the main reason for many people to play SWTOR.
The story! The game isn't mainly about do pvp, raid stuff as fast as you can to get them epics. It is about playing the game, the story, progress your character in a different way then just items.
I did buy it, I have played it, but after a week, I am feeling in the same position I was after playing RIFT, AION, Warhammer, I am bored, the initial excitement is almost gone. Forget about the fact that the all RPG part sucks (press Space Bar 10 times till you can finally pick up the damn quest) but that's just me. Anyway, the game is not bringing anything new, or at least nothing new that would make me switch from other mmos.
I think swtor clearly is just a modern mmo that has new thoughts and new mechanics that cater to all mmo players. All aspects of swtor are done with a lot of detail because of how much time they had to learn and improve from past mmo's. Just my thoughts!
On the other hand what i like about SWTOR challenging WoW is that then WoW will have to wrok harder and so does SWTOR have to work hard aswell, which means we end up with 2 great games :D.
I haven't tried SWTOR but i have 7 years of experiance on WoW, is SWTOR worth it, i'm really bored of WoW now and i need a new game, but it looks exactly the same, same UI, pretty much same things, i want to know what makess the END GAME better than wow's end game ( repetative as hell grind gold do 3v3's and rated BG) next week same thing.....boring

Erm why are you doing battlegrounds, when vast majority of game content on both games is world based,whether it be pvp,pve or rp or rppvp realms, just a wonderin.
Also Tera might be coming to the US, not sure but if it does it could be okay, Also i heard rumors of Marvel universe coming out which has alot of potential if the devolopers do it right.

@TheHidds Lol the pandas is awesome, But what oyu mentioned isnt evne the main focus, What about the new talent system? And the monk class? Or how about the entire new continent and questing system? Plus they are adding Challenge dungeons/raids, and Are adding the ability to gain the marks or w/e to get endgame gear with from dailies and other things rather than just dungeons and raids, Lol you only mentioned pandas and "pokemon" they arent pokemon lmao the combat system isnt evne the same.

I was thinking about it, and have come to the conclusion that WoW will not die due to lack of players. It will die, however, when Bliz stops supporting it. That is the only cause of its death. That will happen in the far future. I will be glad to see the day of its decade (10th) aniversary. I have played the game from Vanilla to Cata, and it has stayed relativly good throughout its 7 years. I have played SWTOR too. Its a very good game, I'm not going to knock it. Very good footage, and I liked how you compared the games. However, I didn't even hear about SWTOR until i started watching youtube videos. Maybe it's just that Bliz has publicized and made WoW commercials more than Star Wars has. I have not personally played Star Wars, but what I do know is that WoW is the game to play :)

Coming from someone that has played wow since launch, It hanging on it's last life. I don;t compare wow to "SWTOR", but it's something new and different. Wow's end game has went down hill pretty much ever since "BC". Not saying that wrath wasn't good, but vanilla and bc stole the cake. "CATA" endgame is so messed up and boring...Did i mention easy?I don't think pandas will save wow...only decline it's population once more.
SWTOR has fun pvp but i cannot stand huttball, i absolutely hate being in a tight space while being butt fucked by every range class right above me as i grab the ball. WoW does have a ton of BGs that i despise however they are large and free spaced compared to huttball, and WoW allows you to choose which BG you do instead of forcing you in huttball every game. Sorry about my grammar, english is not my first language.

I realy like the SWTOR but it is too early to say much yet. i do think it will give wow a run for it's money among those who are tired of the endless drama of wow. the only thing i can see that is going to hurt blizzard is there desire to lean toward children in there expansions the release of pokemon in wow with the next expac is just stupid. they need to focus on something origional. and fun. not on pokemon. and children
SWTOR has a lot of great features with their pvp. There isnt this huge "anti-class" aspect that WoW has. Everyone starts out on a level playing field, making the encounter more about skill than gear or class. WoW on the other hand, thrives on gear and racials. I can get on my frost mage and dominate everyone on there. Does this mean im a great player? no. It means that certain classes in the game are very OP. And gear also makes the difference in wow. All in all i got SWTOR for pvp.
i seriously hope that bioware improves the pvp of swtor, because it is a great game but coming from playing wow pvp you can definitely see the difference in smoothness of the pvp.
It kind of sucks for me because a really sucky PC and I can't quite enjoy playing SWTOR. I have quite a good Mac though so I can play WoW easily. I've been waiting for SWTOR since July and its a real disappointment that I can't enjoy it. So I guess I'll be playing WoW still so I can't really change my decision.

WoW most people have seen every aspect of the game from every angle. I dont feel like these games can currently be compared.

@BadaBooBadaBing95 swtor is new, its not been out long enough to be judged as a full game yet because there's a lot of things to fix still and things to tweak, give it a year and then people can actually justify giving it a rating
Personally I think star wars has turned me from wow simply because im a story nerd. In wow quests and especially dungeons were pretty much railroaded meaning no matter what you did, you fight the same obs and the same boss at the end. In SWTOR i just love the idea of what you say having different affects on the conversation particuarly the light/dark side options. Also I've only done the black talon flashpoint in SWTOR so far but loved how if I killed the captain the dungeon turned out different
@Worldshatter101 The only thing is, that in the end there is going to be "one" way to it. Like the talent system in WoW, there only one right way to do it, whch they are trying to change now. Anyways, I totaly agree with you, it's much cooler that youe choice affects what will happen later on.

SWTOR excells in its absolutely magnificent storytelling. *full* voiceacting, gosh i love it. It just makes your charecter (?) more PERSONAL! You know, i play a Sith, and her heart litterally bleeds for all the innocent Republic i have killde. And then i got my smuggler, who is COMPLETELY ruthless, she only cares about money. My smuggler, migh be the most flippant person i have "met" in my entire life.
And now i dont have any more signs left. Great. I can just say that WoW is great and SWTOR is

i played wow for 5 years stopped playin in october been playin swtor for about a week now n what i think is swtor has a very gd questin experience all the quests seem to have a reason behind it and is really in depth but there does seem to be quite a few bugs in the game that let it down a lot when i seem to cast a spell it doesnt land for about 0.3 seconds after its been cast which can be rlly annoying and kinda game breaking tbh if the bugs were sorted i recon it be better than wow

Given that WoW is 7 years old, it still looks amazing even compared to this modern age MMO, though they cant TRULY be compared because 1 is Sci-Fi the other Fantasy. WoW is still a beautiful game, props to blizz they did an amazing job and still continue to. But to each their own why people feel the need to take sides is beyond me. Theyve probably both got their own Pro's and Con's that different people will be catered for. Good Review, cheers Big C :)

@Bra1ncrack3r I'd have to agree with you there. Both have their own benefits although swtor seems to lack in endgame for what it makes up in the levelling experience. I'm more of a one character guy, so the thought of having to make a new character for a new experience is a little...troubling. I'd rather they give more to do post-50 :(

Has a high rated PvP player in WoW, 2600+ most season. Blizzard willing not nerf batting shamans like they LOVE. I Swtor is way better in that way. The fact that you only fight player on you're server. giving it a more real feel, the combat is far more fluid then in WoW PvP Swtor Wins. PvE side I never got into heavy in WoW because when you mod the game it tells you what you have to do and when to do it. Swtor you're not allow to mod. Which is amazing. Last thing you're a powertech get up close.

Quite a nice video. But you forgot the main reason for many people to play SWTOR.
The story! The game isn't mainly about do pvp, raid stuff as fast as you can to get them epics. It is about playing the game, the story, progress your character in a different way then just items.

I did buy it, I have played it, but after a week, I am feeling in the same position I was after playing RIFT, AION, Warhammer, I am bored, the initial excitement is almost gone. Forget about the fact that the all RPG part sucks (press Space Bar 10 times till you can finally pick up the damn quest) but that's just me. Anyway, the game is not bringing anything new, or at least nothing new that would make me switch from other mmos.

1. Game feels fake, movement and attack animation are boring and unreal.
2. Feels like a single player game, grouping is not very rewarding.
3. Every mob feels like every other mob.
4. Quest objects are not that easily explained or seen.
5. Character customization is the worst I have seen in years.
6. No great spells, boring!
The game takes 10 steps forward in quest realism. That's it! NPC's feel real during conversation.

I was thinking about it, and have come to the conclusion that WoW will not die due to lack of players. It will die, however, when Bliz stops supporting it. That is the only cause of its death. That will happen in the far future. I will be glad to see the day of its decade (10th) aniversary. I have played the game from Vanilla to Cata, and it has stayed relativly good throughout its 7 years. I have played SWTOR too. Its a very good game, I'm not going to knock it. Coming from someone that has played wow since launch, It hanging on it's last life. I don;t compare wow to "SWTOR", but it's something new and different. Wow's end game has went down hill pretty much ever since "BC". Not saying that wrath wasn't good, but vanilla and bc stole the cake. SWTOR has fun pvp but i cannot stand huttball, i absolutely hate being in a tight space while being butt fucked by every range class right above me as i grab the ball. WoW does have a ton of BGs that i despise however they are large and free spaced compared to huttball, and WoW allows you to choose which BG you do instead of forcing you in huttball every game. Sorry about my grammar, english is not my first language.

I realy like the SWTOR but it is too early to say much yet. i do think it will give wow a run for it's money among those who are tired of the endless drama of wow. the only thing i can see that is going to hurt blizzard is there desire to lean toward children in there expansions the release of pokemon in wow with the next expac is just stupid. they need to focus on something origional. and fun. not on pokemon. and children

SWTOR has a lot of great features with their pvp. There isnt this huge "anti-class" aspect that WoW has. Everyone starts out on a level playing field, making the encounter more about skill than gear or class. WoW on the other hand, thrives on gear and racials. I can get on my frost mage and dominate everyone on there. Does this mean im a great player? no. It means that certain classes in the game are very OP. And gear also makes the difference in wow. All in all i got SWTOR for pvp.

Personally I think star wars has turned me from wow simply because im a story nerd. In wow quests and especially dungeons were pretty much railroaded meaning no matter what you did, you fight the same obs and the same boss at the end. In SWTOR i just love the idea of what you say having different affects on the conversation particuarly the light/dark side options. Also I've only done the black talon flashpoint in SWTOR so far but loved how if I killed the captain the dungeon turned out different
