I can't help but think the inherent flicker of the CFL bulb might have a different effect than the less noticeable flicker of a regular incandescent bulb.
@85mariapatricia yeah, that's what the link in the vid description says. the turntable in this vid spun at 45rpm, though it was capable of running up to 78rpm.

its supposed to be 45 rpm for the standard size or you can lengthen it by like 24 inches for a 78rpm
