This seems to be a viable concern. No one wants to be without power in the dead of winter for weeks or months. Will they revamp the grids, transformers and sattelites so this won't happen? Prob not. Grids also take about 1 hour to shutdown, the satellite that tracks these solar systems ( Im not sure if there is a satellite though) can be down before solar storms hit earth. So it can be a surprise .

I have a BS in astrophysics and am on the fast tract in a state university to obtain my doctorates. The only thing i warn is that we are as about as accurate as weather men. I believe the bible speaks of Jesus putting an end to a war in Ezekiel 38.
In Ezekiel 38:19 the Earthquake is the same Earthquake as Rev 6:12-13, in Rev 6:13 1/3rd of the Angels/Stars fall which is the same as Matt 24:29.
These combines with Ezekiel 39:9 the seven years is the same seven years as Daniel 9:27 and Daniel 11.
Most importantly though is probable Genesis 18:25
Revelations 7:14 makes it even more clear. We are in the tribulation now.

Well I've done my research and yes solar flares will cause electrical storms. Satellites will be affected as they are not protected by the ozone layer. Areas like Antarctic will be hit hard with the temperature rising enough to melt the remaining icecaps. The reason there are so many theories and speculations out there is because some of its True.

Noone thinks the flares are going to melt the core as in the 2012 movie recently released but if you think about all the other things going on that year no matter what the final outcome is everyone should at least by now KNOW that something will happen.. regardless if the gov. actually does cause it or it is natural we need to be prepared.. i hope this helps

Yes they have made the same 2012 predictions u have heard so much about but recently our solor system just entered a cloud. and the cloud is causing the sun to basically become hyperactive. The rise of the solar flares have already been climbing the charts but from pure science 2012 is logically the year in which the climax of these flares is supposed to occur. Its not just a silly prediction it is a researched fact .

Its the cause of the solar flares climax, but u have to think of the rest of the things going on during 2012. (alignment of the planets with the center of the milky way, the recently discovered black hole, global warming, countless predictions, war, plauges i could go on forever

firs of all the CME will go around the earth because of the earths magnetic field (if it happens wich is possible since it last happend in 1859 and happens every few hundred years) but the geomagnetic force from the flying cme (geomagnetic field) will take out all electric circuits on earth as we know it.

It was said at first that the flare will be caused by the sun spot pointing at earth, when it erupts, like it does, then we will be effected. It is not predicted that the sun's activity by itself will be the problem, the solar flare from the sun spot facing us will. It really had nothing to do with the size, but the power caused by that natural event. If that was to happen, no, earth WILL survive, but with todays power needs human kind may not. Thats what the reports said.

But, citizens will disagree with this because of no electricity.
Energy is so important that even with no electricity, water purifying plants can't purify water.

@BDpartnercoJM But, grids have to make a choice to shut down the grids because they can either save lives, or lose their job and kill many people.
Grids also take about 1 hour to shutdown, the satellite that tracks these solar systems ( Im not sure if there is a satellite though) can be down before solar storms hit earth. So it can be a surprise .
And yes, this is not logical.

We can't predict when solar storms will hit us we can only calculate probabilities and those probabilities say, most likely not. Even if the alternative is the destruction of the worlds infrastructure, all of mankind can't jump at something so small.
