  • A superb performance--up there with the best of them, including the present crop of female belters! So glad these Connie performances are preserved and available for us to see again and again!

  • I'm italian from nyc we heard connie singing in the cradle......I can remember being as young as 2 and making my mother play the italian favorites album over and over lol

  • a real artist. beautiful voice. perfect pitch. complete dedication to text. a truly beautiful woman who sings from the heart. what more could you ask for? Not many around like this any more.

  • fabulous voice . What else can I say. Thankyou. JUDA59ful

  • Rather than a box set of Connie`s TV performances, I have a more appealing suggestion :

How about someone building us a "time machine"....we`ll set it at "1961"....and never change that dial!

  • @MrYellowlabs I love your idea!!! Love it! Although I will want to be the age I am NOW. I was born in 1961!!! LOL!

  • @AConnieChannel Good point!

Clearly, a few glitches would have to be worked out. I can see where a newborn infant might not be able to fully appreciate Connie`s talent.

What am I saying?!? You actually experienced this in 1961! Who would know better than you?

  • @MrYellowlabs You are so funny! Actually, I've always wondered if my love of CF comes from my babyhood and early childhood when she was so popular. I have no memory of her at that time in my life, though. I first learned of her in 1973 when I was 12 years old - she appeared on a Dick Clark TV special and I was immediately riveted by her voice. I've been a fan ever since!

  • @AConnieChannel I think your theory is quite valid!

You were born at the very height of "Connie-mania"....at a time when she was turning out hit songs with the precision of a Coca-Cola bottling plant assembly line! So, yes, I do believe your babyhood predisposed you to become a CF fan. The seed was planted in `61...the flower bloomed in `73.

I genetically inherited the "Connie-gene". My Dad was nuts about her in the `60`s. Thanks to video, she`s now doing the exact same thing to me!

  • I find myself back here, once again, to view this video. Can't seem to stay away for too long (I fear this is bordering on obsession, and I may have to seek psychiatric counsel - lol). There isn't enough space to state the remarkable abilities CF possesses as a vocalist, and interpreter of song. She hits every mark, on every level (phrasing, range, vocal control, gestures, I could on and on). In the end, Connie Francis remains as one of the worlds most amazing, and mesmerizing vocalists.

  • @twowaystreet101 Hi there! I absolutely agree with you - and you are NOT obsessive! You are so right! Thank you for watching and for commenting! I appreciate it so much - and I am certain that Connie does, too! - Ken

  • Stunning.

  • @vanguard1952 HI there! I totally agree! This one gives me goosebumps!

  • No one sings a song like Connie Francis.

  • @primogennaio You are so right! Thank you for watching and for commenting! Sincerely, Ken

  • @jdgfanatic I'm so glad you like the video! And yes, what a voice! She is just wonderful! Thank you for watching and commenting! - Ken

  • if I wrote 20 million thankyou cards to miss connie francis it wouldnt be enough to thank her for sharing her talent

  • @ILUVCF1961 Hi there! I totally understand how you feel! The same with me! Good to hear from you - it has been a while! Best, Ken

  • back for another view,it never gets old.i get so mind boggled as to how she just opens

her mouth and out comes that voice so easily! and to know how tiny she really is

makes all the more mind boggling.

  • @chompo7 How are you, Joe?

  • like an angel....its the perfect voice for this song. Uhmmmm I`m an Andy Williams Fan..

  • @CrooningRick Hi there! I agree with you about Connie's voice being perfect for the song. I also love Andy Williams. Have you seen the video I posted of them singing a duet together?

  • What a wonderful interpretation of this timeless classic by the great Connie Francis!

  • @sas9023055 I see you love Connie Francis, have you heard her singing Goldfinger? There's a video here on YouTube.

  • @Thorneycroft1937 - Hi Jonas! No, I haven't see that clip yet, but I will search for it. I grew up listening to Connie Francis. Connie is one of my favorite vocalists of all time, along with Shirley Bassey.

  • In ways I think I like this version better than than the recorded one. You can see the passion.

  • What an instument! One of the few who achieves a full, big sound that's always really musical-never shouts. Connie Francis is an inspiration. Thank you so much for your posts.

  • @beforeourveryeyes Hello! You are most welcome! It is such a pleasure to share Connie's beautiful voice with her fans and with new friends, too. I agree with you about her vocal artistry/instrument! Thanks so much for watching and for commenting!

  • ConnieChannel, thank you for sharing this (and other great CF songs) with us. One day some ageing TV producer will see fit to put THEM all on a fab DVD for the world to enjoy, Nattier

  • @fragonard13 Hi there! Thanks for watching and commenting. I keep hoping for the same thing. A box set of her TV appearances and all of her movies would sell like hotcakes.

  • Exceptional singer - often over looked, and underrated.

  • I loved the movie Born Free and this song. This is another great post! It is a shame to lose your views and start all over. I look at the views sometimes when I am trying to decide what video to make next. Sometimes I have to just decide that I do not care about the views, and make what I want to make even though it may not get many views. I still need to make a Connie video.

    ---------Ellen

  • @Shabannie You make such lovely videos, Ellen, so I look forward to seeing one on Connie when you do it! Thanks, as always, for taking the time to watch and comment. I really appreciate your You Tube friendship! Sincerely, Ken

  • had to come back for another look(my thousandth!).she was unstoppable when she

was at the top of her game.there arent words enough to say how mind blowingly beautiful this performance is.

  • @chompo7 You are so right, Joe! I agree with you 100 percent! Happy New Year!

  • She inspires me to buy wig like this or hair piece or hair extension! :) beautiful and fab connie!

  • @glamourous888 thats her real hair lol

  • @ILUVCF1961 Thanks for that info, but I recall someone told me that this was a hair extension she wore. same with the david frost interview she wore another hair piece, she looks good with long hair. pretty much and fabulous.

  • @glamourous888 you're prolly right i just never saw her the few times i met her with short hair

  • You can't help but get emotional listening to this.

A true performer who can touch you with her talent indeed.

  • @WoodRatGirl You are so right! Thank you for the comment and for watching! All best, Ken

  • @AConnieChannel

    You're welcome Ken! :)

  • So Beautiful both Connie and her voice!!!

  • Favolosa , una cantante importante, nel mio cuore.

  • @FAUSTORICCARDO Hi, Fausto! I'm very happy that you enjoyed this and that it touched your heart! Mine, too! Have a very Merry Christmas! -- Ken

  • Yes, thank you for this great copy. This is truly one of my favorite Connie performances--just spectacular and chills-inducing!

  • @cwoodn HI! So glad you like it. I tried to make it as clear as possible. The color was hard to work with, though....still, it looks pretty good! Regardless of how it looks, her singing in this track just kills me - she is incredibly powerful and poised here. Really at the top of her game. It's one of my favorite performances by Connie.

  • Gorgeous appearance ... I beleive all the love Connie ever had in heart she sang them all out ...

Thank-you for this beautiful post ... ya surely had done a great job :-) ...5 stars

  • @laggie24 Thank you very much, Aggie!
