@Kicaj15 Quite honestly i just meant talentwise. Ronaldo and Maradona had more talent with the ball than Zidane. I like Zidane a lot and he was a great playmaker/midfield maestro... but not at the same technical level of dribbling. I guess to sum it up ... when Zidane and Ronaldo played together at Real Madrid, everytime Zidane touched the ball I felt pretty calm and when he was majestic it made me smile. When Ronaldo touched the ball the heart started racing and was exciting. Different styles.

@Kicaj15 Oh and Ronaldo was injured for about 4 years 98-2002, with only the occasional game.....came back 2002....nowhere near his skill before....still World Player of the Year. Then some good seasons at Real Madrid....and then injured for 2006/07 season and 08/09 seasons. So i'd say thats pretty good. Zidane retired cause he knew he wouldn't be able to keep the same level since 2006 either.

Pelé is the best player ever. Ronaldo is a great champion and one of the best players of the world. But the realy best is Pelé. Ronaldo have more than 300 goals, and Pelé more than 1200, almouts 1300. Here in Brazil we considered many players best than Ronaldo, like Zico, Garrincha, Rivelino, etc.
Ronaldo himself considered Pelé the king of football, and the best player ever.

Zidane is quite overrated as much as I see his value as a player. He is one of the most consistent performers that contribute more than most statistics would prove especially to factors in a match that are crucial such as ball possession and team work but would he even be regarded and compared with the best if he didn't win as many as 3 World Player of the Year awards. In fact in some years he didn't even beat Henry to best french player, not sure which magazine but the point is

Zidane won Fifa World Player of the Year 2003 while Henry won French Player of the Year 2003 and all the way to 2006 Henry had it. Another point is when Zidane won the award at 1998, Ronaldo had a brilliant season and was awarded Golden Ball at WC98, yes he lost the finals but he had a convulsive fit before the Finals he wasn't suppose to be playing but he requested to play. That's a very debatable award for the Frenchman. and A few years all the way to 2002 Ronaldo was injured for the most part
