great work, this was a great compilation. I studied at HKUST during the Spring 2010 term. Looks like you spent a good amount of time in Japan, thats awesome but probably really expensive! I only was able to go for a long weekend to Tokyo but it was a ton of fun. Anyway, good job with this video, thanks for bringing back the memories.

i notice the masks in part of the video, is that because of the pollution? do they really make a difference with what youre breathing in? i really want to go to HKU for my degree. im in the US.

i was in hong kong last year and the pollution was quite bad. Theres also lots of construction going on so it made it worse. I didn't wear a mask but I used a tissue to cover my nose and mouth when I absolutely could not stand it.

Actually, we wore these masks in Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam. That was because of the pollution, it was so bad, mostly because of the traffic I think.
In Hong Kong I felt it was okay though.

I don't know about that. I am living at one of the apartement at UST but my boyfriend living at student halls. Now i am happyly married with him and living in Norway:-)

I was living close to campus, in Pik Shui San Tsuen (also on video at around 1:35 :)). Great place to live. All student halls were full so I couldn't get any room over there :(. But I think they're building a new hall now, right?
