@brookes641 You're welcome. It's just not for me at all. I'm still recovering from it and every time I think my hair is better it jumps dry and I have to start all over again.

Oh yes... AOHC is the hair saver. I am OUT and what is the deal with the qhemet website. UGH. I have to travel an hour and half to a place I can get it on ground (18.99). In the mean time until I can get there I'm using my Qhemet's Olive Honey Hair Balm. Sorry you had a bad experience. I've been wanting to order the YAM but I'm not so sure now. :( Lord knows I can not be wasting 20 bucks on nothing nowadays.

Thanks for this post. My hair does not like Yucca (sp) either. I tried it in the Shea Moisture line and my hair was so dry. Love the make up by the way.

I can't remember who I saw that just did a review of this... They said that the only way that it worked for them was to deep condition first, then to leave this on for about 10 minutes after wards and wash it out.  I am sorry that you had such a bad experience. Can you use it as a face mask or something?

I just used this last night and I had problems getting it to warm up (thyroid problems=cold hands and feet) so I stood in the bathroom put some in my hands, placed my hands in front of a space heater. It soaked it up. I can't decide it I like it yet because the shampoo I used jacked my hair up prior to this. I also used the AOHC, I learned a lesson. All these products were first time uses, next time I will test 1 thing at a time. I didn't steam (I thought that's what it needed)

@RnMechell Yeah I have raynaulds syndrome, blood stops going to my hands and feet when I'm stressed of cold, so I know what you mean. Yes, i always recommend to people only to swap out or try one new product at a time. Sometimes I can get away with testing two at a time.

I'm sorry this messed up your hair. We are hair twins, but obviously something is different, because I love the SM Thickening products. I use the mask as a treatment under the steamer, but after I rinse, I use Kyah Alexandria or KBB.

That sucks that it didn't for you! I just received this a couple days ago. I can't wait to try it. I used the Tapioca cream AS SOON AS I OPENED my package lol. That too is very thick! I used it as a moisturizer along with my Afroveda Lock twist and roll butter and mt twist-out was super defined. I can't wait to try her other stuff!

@160Days2Lose2 Cool, I hope the cold Michigan air doesn't affect your results. The Tapioca with the Hemp Loc Twist Roll sounds like a good idea. A lot of people are raving about the Cocoa Deep Conditioner, I wish I would have got that one. I think I want to try their body stuff, and see if I can use it in my hair too

Thanks for your review....I trust your reviews the most on YouTube. I just brought Qhemet Burdock Root and Olive and Honey for my wash n go's. I'm in Love...so mad at myself for just now trying it. I had been thinking of putting in a BASK order and holding off on the Qhemet....but nawwww. Thanks!

@urbanfabchic Thank you hun. Yes Qhemets is certainly far better than this stuff, well for my hair at least. I'm still waiting for Qhemets to reopen so I can get my amla pomade and my heavy cream.

I like your review because I had a similar experience....Only, I used it as a stand alone conditioner. My hair was dry as the desert, no matter how much moisturizer I put on it. I live in Michigan where it is very cold so you can imagine the dryness I experienced. My hair is still recovering. I want to try it when the weather warms up but I don't know if this will yield better results.

@A2Sue thanks, and I know what you mean about the dryness. I had to not only keep moisturizing my hair but Ihad to increase my water intake, I hate that, but I guess it's good I'm drinking me water. It's taking a long time for my hair to recover from this and while my hair is recovering i can test too many products so it's so frustrating, can't give a good review if my hair is already in a jacked up state, lol. I wont be trying this again

I'm so over this line for hair care products and will only buy skin care if anything, maybe the skincare will work on my hair. Thanks, I have the Bask Tapioca and an oil in it.

@tastiredbone....your hair is so pretty!!! I like a few BASK products so far the Cacao Bark DC & Seven Fold Butter Blend are my favorites. I'm still not sure about the Tapioca I have to re-test it. I've seen a few reviews on YAM but it didn't appeal to me. Overall I like BASK products. I had a similar hair emergency last week. I DC'd with Tiiva Naturals Coffee & Cupuacu DC...OMG my hair was a HOTT MESS..I think it was the coffee! Thanx for the tip cause QB Amla & Olive was a hair saver!

@louloumatou LOL, when everyone was talking about it and gave it rave reviews on everything I had such high hopes for it. The tapioca hair cream is just ok. I had to put an oil with it to give my hair this look, something I really don't do. Go for it hun, your hair just might like it, don't think I like the Yucca in it at all. So far I only know 3 people that don't like this YAM. I got the tapioca in a swap because the lady hated it and I can see why.

Ooo Giirl! U scared me off this product. and I was not crazy about the cacao deep treat. Umm, it didn't do that much to my hair. AT. ALL. I had to add honey and olive oil in it. Oh! and you probably did get a sample, but it was probably itty bitty like mine. I received the smallest bottle in the world of some detangler thing. It litterally could have been a bottle for my daughter's barbie. and the only reason I found it through all the packing peanuts is because I was determined to find one!
