I think it sounds really good and its not even about that its about the words, your singing about God and its okay if the blend isnt perfect its still amazing.
i was in this chorus during this preformance and i know we are not very good but my town is not very musical and we did all we could. so theres no reason to be rude. but as far as the girl passing away like somone from my town mentioned on here..she passed away after this preformance, so no one was trying to hold it together in this performance and those of us that were actually friends with kelsesy know that. dont talk about things if you dont even know what your saying.
im in my high school choirs elite group too and yeah u guys sound pretty good u just have to work on diction and ur mouth being vertical more and raising the soft pallet in ur mouth. it makes ur sound 100000 times better. but again good job and good luck at ur competionals if u have them :)
I mean were hanover's sister comptetitor (atlee) and we both kick ass like the girl said at the bottom...when that girl died it was hard for everyone no to break down...But hanover did have some great success in the past year and now this year Atlee will be dominant ;-)
umm hey i was in this choir last year and sung this song and just so you know it was very difficult for a lot of us because a girl from our school died in a tragic accident and none of us saw it coming. this was a very emotional time for our school and many people were close with the girl who died so we were giving our all not to break down. i think we did great and i know kelsey was looking down on us smiling. love you, rest in peace
they did ok. My school choir did it a lot better and we only have 32 people. They could've done a whole lot better. the last ah-men couldnt even be heard. they need more practice.
That was pretty good for a group your age. Just one thing bothered me. This song was written in honor of Jester Hairston, the composer who wrote the spiritual Amen, so that last amen was meant to be pronounced like "ay-men" not "ah-men." Other than that, it was awesome.
if i was in the crowd i would walk up on the stage and take a dump, not that theres anything wrong with the performance, i just always eat prunes before high school choral concerts
Hanover kicks ass!

They should work on a good blend and mostly on vertical sound. But it's a very nice group!!!

this sucks.
our A Capella group has 11 people in it and kicks butt in this song...
and the tempo is way too slow...
sopranos need some major work.
KristenLouise26 3 years ago
i actually like the tempo... but yall should work more on the balance and blend

actually it's "ah-men" - "ay-men" will produce a more spread sound.

This comment has received too many negative votes show
tell your "director" not to hold out the notes. It ruins the song!
Whhhheeeeeeeeeeeen my work
NO.
you need longer vowels too. I'm from Texas and my choir sounds more proper than yours.
It's not "Win" it's more like "Wun"
Better luck next time.

acually, the part you pointed out isnt held, its just the length of the note

The low E flat is missing (probably because it is a very young group).
I really liked this version and have picked up an idea for my choir from the Muisc Directors interpretation. Thank you for sharing this!
